I'm REALLY not trying to start a debate (if this isn't "legal"), so please don't get mad at me...

When DH and I travel to WDW, we always get the Dining Plan, and I usually get it to work so that we don't have to pay OOP for anything (other than tips) because I plan our meals pretty well. However, our upcoming trip is with friends that have a daughter the same age as ours, and my friend really wants to do CRT, which automatically puts us one TS behind, PLUS would like to go to Chef Mickey on our "off" day (for which I had planned no TS meals, to make up for CRT). PLUS, she'd LOVE to do the Playhouse Disney Character breakfast on a day that I'd really like to eat at 50's prime Time cafe.

So, my question is - since we're in two different rooms, is it possible (AND ALLOWED) for one of us to pay for the DxDP, and the other pay for the regular DP, and then share the extra credits between us? I have a feeling that's not allowed, but I'd LOVE if it could work out!

Sorry, no...won't work. Each room has the total number of adults/children listed right on the card. Servers are not allowed to ring up more meals than are indicated. So if your room says 1 A/1 C (for 1 adult, 1 child) they will only allow you to pay for one adult meal & one child meal at a time...so neither one of you could pay for 2 adult meals and 2 child meals on one card.

By the way...the Playhouse Disney characters are cute, but that breakfast was the worst, by far, that we have had at Disney World (and we've been to most of their restaurants.) Terrible, and very slow, service. Mediocre food, and limited offerings.

Rats, I figured there'd be a catch! I wish Disney would offer a 2TS, 1CS, 1Snack option. I'd get that every time!

I wasn't really interested in the Playhouse Disney breakfast anyway - my DD doesn't know any of those characters yet, so maybe I'll ask her to give up that idea.

So, for those that might still peak into this post - these are the meals I've got planned, which would be best to pay OOP for?

why dont you jsut split up on you DHS day. Let them do the breakfast and you do the dinner...

If that isnt an option I would love at the menus and figure out what you usually get and the price and then see what meal is cheapest. If you could share somewhere too that might be an option. Also at a regular TS (not a buffet) you might consider them going OP at one place and you going OP at another. Or like using 1 credit for hubby but not using a credit for you. Then you could split the dessert and either get something cheaper of like a salad or something. Or even share with hubby. Especially on your DHS day you are doing a big buffet breakfast and then a Prime time dinner...could you split something with hubby...or perhaps your child...

I don't know if it makes any difference to you, but I've seen quite a few posts about how poor Hollywood & Vine is. Perhaps that is one to skip?

They do. It's the DxDP. Plus you get an extra snack and have the option of making that CS a TS if you want.
