Next year we are going to have a 2 bedroom at BCV with 5 people in the room and a studio with 2 adults. So of the max occupancy (12) between the two rooms, we will have 7.

My SIL is staying in a 2BR at BWV, 2 adults, 3 children.

Can we add them to our BCV rooms so they can join us at SAB? We would still be in our allowable occupancy (we would add the 3 kids in our rooms and the parents in the studio)... Or, since their names are on the BWV reservation can they not be listed as guests of 2 rooms on property at the same time?

Thanks!

They can be listed on multiple reservations for the same dates. The only restriction is a person can't be listed as the primary person on more than one reservation.

great, thanks. They would not be listed as the primary, we would have the 2 rooms at BCV for 7 nights and they will be at BWV for only 4 nights, so we just wanted to add them for 1-2 of the common days when we will won't be going to the parks. Good to know, thanks!

I've been trying to do this without success. I have a second unit reserved for a family member who is meeting us halfway through our stay. He prefers I get him checked in before he gets there so he doesn't have to worry about it. I was told my name can only be on one reservation even if I'm not listed as the primary person on the second room. I've called MS twice and have talked to a supervisor. I find this rather ridiculous. I own the points and should be able to put whoever I want in a room as long as I'm not over occupancy limits.

We had no problems doing this last November.

I was going to do the same thing. My brothers family is in a 1br at BWV, we are in a 2br at BCV. Was going to add them to our rooms for the days we were going to use the pool and not go to the parks.

Is the max occupancy on 2br @ BCV 8 or 9?

Interestingly, I listed my husband on both ressies when I made them... I'm primary at BCV, he is listed, and then he's primary on the BWV. So they had no problem when I booked it.

For those of you who have done this, did you add them after you have checked in ..will the front desk let you do this? ..and then it doesnt screw up their room keys at BWV does it?......or just put them on the ressie for all the days through ms...

I've had no problem with this. In addition, I've been able to set it up so I could check in even when I wasn't listed on the reservation. I checked in for 9 units over a 3 day period Sept, 2010, only one of which we stayed at. If you call and are not successful, you might consider putting one in your name and one in another adult's name that'll be with you. That way you can check in to both units even if they won't allow you to be listed on both. The only issue might be the Dining Plan if either room has it, but there are ways to work around this too if needed.

got told by MS that only one reservation at the same time can have their names.

my dn is staying at SSR while her parents are staying at BWV. wanted to put her name on their reservation but got told no.

if you can do this - please tell me!!!

it would make it so much easier for them if their kids could come to them.

We were able to do this for a reservation back in Nov 2011.

I am very upset at being told what names I'm able to put on reservations using MY points. I'm not trying to add a dining plan or ME; it's reservation only. If I have the points and am not over occupancy limits (we have a studio & 1BR for only 3 people) it shouldn't make any difference who is on what reservation. If I have the points and want to book 4 rooms in my name only, I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to. I've never been asked by any other hotel to list the names of occupants in any rooms; all they want to know is how many will be staying.

I was told by MS that it has always been the policy to not allow the same name on duplicate reservations. When I brought up the fact that we had done it several times since '94, she said, oh, it's an old policy that is now being enforced. We've been members a long time, but due to some of the changes in the past few years we no longer recommend DVC to our friends.

because of EMH disney is different.

got told it was a change in policy by the CM who refused me.

believe me this was very upsetting - my DB and DSIL both have problems getting around. the kids don't - so having the kids come to them would be much easier for everyone.

Is SIL using your points? If not, I can't see how they could cross reference the names. I'm sure there are different people with the same names staying at WDW resorts.

Last summer I was called when my waitlist came through as they could not fulfill the WL since my name was on another room I used to hold the spot. I was told at the time it was a new rule and was causing problems for the MS folk.

I hope George Foreman isn't a member. Can only imagine the discussions between him and MS as he attempts to explain that there are 6 of them in his immediate family all with the same name.

I had a similar problem when friends used our points earlier this year. Father and son have the same name. I think the only reason I was able to book two rooms with their same names was the fact that they had different addresses and phone numbers.

This is getting to be a real pain!
