I am new to all of the lingo - sorry if I get it wrong....

I have all of my reservations made - except for the Saturday night of our vacation. It is a day we have set aside to not do a park and we are staying at the Beach Club the first week in June.

So can I call and just ask what they have available on Saturday night? Or do I need to given them specific restaurant for them to look up? KIWM?

This is 100000 million more planning than I have ever done for any other vacation and I am getting tired. :)

I would like to know this too....we have our ADR's set for every night except arrival night and I'm getting a headache trying to figure it out. :lmao: It would be easier if they could just tell me what they have rather than me asking "how about this? or this? or that? or maybe this?"

Last night when I was trying to change some stuff around and the dining timet hat came up was too late, the CM put in a time range for all of Epcot (since that is what I was looking for) and started telling me what was available.

Yes, you can do this.

My mom and I were in Disney last October and hadnt made plans for a particular night. I have the Disney Dining reservation number in my phone ;) So I just called the number, the voice prompts ask if you are planning for a future vacation or if you in the Walt Disney area now or something like that.... when the reservationist came on the line I just asked what they had available anywhere on property for 830pm.... she gave me several choices and then booked us for the Cape May ....

Your success on last minute reservations will depend on a few things...

1. the number of people in your party and
2. the flexibility of time... prime time for dinner is 5pm to 7pm... you will have more luck if you eat early or late

Hope this helps.

Thank you and thanks to the OP for posting this question! I will give that a try - we are pretty flexible on places to eat, I just blank when I get on the phone with them and can never think of ALL the places I want to ask about.

I also have WDW Dining programmed in my cell :rotfl:

My experience has been some CMs will & some won't. I've specifically asked if they could just check to see what's available, then let me know. I've had a couple CMs that refused to check anything w/o me naming the restaurants one at a time. Another option would be to ask the conceirge at your resort to check for you.

The CM at the Guest Services desk at the BC has done this for us before--very helpful!!!

We've also had some luck calling from our room to get ressies for whatever is available.

They're able to do it; they should be willing to do it, but apparently some CMs can't or won't. Too bad, because I'd think it would be a pleasure to try to work with a Guest who's NOT demanding a reservation five minutes from now at Le Cellier :teeth:

In addition to the suggestions above, and if you don't get an agreeable CM on the phone - you can also go into Guest Relations at any park or Downtown Disney and ask about reservations, anywhere onsite (not just the specific park, or DtD).

You can also approach any restaurant podium and ask for assistance.

I've talked to many different CM's lately making ADR's for June and since they are on the new system I think some of them may not know how to search ... from what I hear the new system is not very easy to use... that may be why some of them cannot do a search for you...

You can walk in to Beaches and Cream they do not take ADRs. Also, the Captains Grille at the YC would most likely be easy to get a table with or without and ADR.

I forgot to mention the ESPN Club and Big River Grille on the Boardwalk. These places do not take ADRs.

You could also head over to DTD. There are lots of good places there for a causal meal. Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck express are our two favourites.
