Can the Visa reward dollars be used for....

not sure if this is the right board, so sorry if not...

am i allowed to use my disney visa rewards credit card's reward dollars towards the purchase of disney theme park tickets and/or hotels?

say i have 400 reward dollars & want to apply that towards park hopper tickets, could i?

or use that 400 towards the purchase of a 5 night stay @ the pop resorts?

i want to build up the reward dollar amounts from now until nov 07'
but we will have to most likely have to purchase our park hopper tickets far before before the prices increase & if we put hotal reservations on the visa disney card & have several months to pay that off, can the reward dollars be used towards that?

Yes you can. You will recieve what is essentially a prepaid credit card so make sure that you allow time for them to send it to you. The only catch is it is only good with Disney {and a few merchandise vendors} and it has an expiration date. Just be sure that whatever you transfer from your available points from purchases will be able to be used up within a year. If you want to purchase just your tickets or just your hotel stay or just your meals while you are there you can, but you cannot use your points to pay towards your Visa bill. But you can split the amounts of your total bill and pay $400.00 from the rewards points card and pay the balance with your regular Visa. You can also log into the Chase website and you can see all the rules an regs. Have fun.

We had around $650 in Disney Rewards for our last trip in May. We put it towards our hotel bill at AKL. I just gave them the reward card when we checked in and they applied it toward the bill for us.

so basically do not buy the entire price of my hotel bill with my visa?
pay just the deposit (if they allow that) & pay the remainder with the reward card?
so there is no way to buy my park hopper tickets early to avoid a price increase if i am allowing now through nov 07 to build up the money on my reward card right? (if i only have 17 dollars currently)

Yes... we paid the one night deposit with our credit card when we made the reservation and then paid the balance on the bill at the hotel upon check in with the rewards card.

Not if you only have $17 on the rewards card. If you had enough on the card you could buy the tickets now at the Disney Store and lock in the lower price for the tickets.
