Can someone tell me why?

Why is XXX banned? Im not trying to stir the pot but at least 3 respected website communities reccomend them.Is there something im missing? Id hat to book and then be dissapointed.ITs hard to weigh the pros and cons when you onlt have one side of the story.

Because the owners REPEATEDLY came over to the board and advertised without being willing to pay the board owners any fee... They were warned and continued to do what they did, so they desevered to be banned..

Had they just crawled back into their hole, then folks could recommend them freely so they only hurt themselves.... (and by the way, remember that lots of website "recommendations" consist only of "I took thier money" LOL!)

Ok policy is policy, but the comment about "i took their money" is insulting to PEOPLE who have praised them, specifically Deb Wills, and the many people on this board and other boards who USED their service.

I get what your trying to say, and its the DIS's call.But i think you made a generalisation about the people who reccommended them.

Well, if you had said WHICH websites... I might have had a different response. However, a dose of skeptisim is always good. At least SOME of the "Disney" websites out there are not that good about "due dilegence" Deb, here, Mouseplanet, Mousesavers those seem to do some diligence. I have been on a few where I think it's just "pay your money" (I once saw a board owner on an unnamed site say "I never used them, but they told me they were good" Like the advertiser is going to tell you that he's lousy?)

I know I sounded harsh, but my theory on ALL of the Limo companies is that NONE of them have a "spotless" reputation. I have been reading these boards a LONG time and I can't think of one limo company without a "I was left" story... I think that this is to be expected, but that doesn't make it any better when it's YOU that's stuck LOL!

The DIS is actually good in that they normally allow us to post referrals of companies who don't advertise here. (On some boards posts mentioning other limo compaies are IMMEDIATELY removed) So all the limo company in question had to do was quit promoting themselves and folks who used them would have "advertised" for them.... they could not grasp that simple concept so their whole name was banned.

A lot of us have used both FL Tours, a board sponsor, and Tiffany Towncar. I've used both and had good service.

I don't recommend any service... I don't want to be responsible when something goes wrong.

I have used Fl Tours and TIffany with no problems (however, it's been about 5 years for Tiffany so my experience is a little old! Fl Tours was about a year ago. One of my good friends recently used Happy Limo whom she has used several times and all of her experiences have been good.)

I usually rent a car. I tend to go just for a few days at a time and a weekend car rental doesn't cost much more then the limo companies charge.

GoofyBaseballMom26 - I have no problems highly recommending Sunray Transportation. They've always been there for me on my past four trips and I'll be booking with them for four more trips this year. I guess I don't mind recommending them not only because of my experience, but also because not one of the many, many people I've recommended them to has ever gotten back to me with anything but a "Thanks, they were great" note. Can't speak for other companies because I've only used two other companies and they were just so so. Nothing great. Well, the drivers of the second company I tried were great, but the company was bleah. I finally found what I was looking for in Sunray so I stopped looking - great rates and reliable service. It's what I'll use and recommend. Good luck in your search!
