Can someone tell me about the Fantasmic package?

It takes 2 table service credits, right? And you choose between Hollywood & Vine or Mama Melrose? That's about the only thing I know about it. I'm trying to figure out if I want to do it.

Actually no it only takes ONE CREDIT and in my oppinion the Mama Melrose option is the best deal on the dining plan. We did Hollywood and Vine one year and thought it was o.k., but prefer Mama's and have a great meal every time. You can now order anything off of the menu and at the end of your meal they will give you a card where you go about 25 minutes before the show, no waiting in line and sit in a special reserved section for the show. You can do Brown Derby for 2 credits.

Well, shucks. I started to read some stuff on Deb's website and I saw that the Brown Derby was an option so I started reading the menu and figured I'd choose the there if I was going to use 2 table service credits. But hey, if I can only use one I guess I will do Mama Melrose.

But.. I have an ADR for two days after when I would do it for Tony's Townsquare. We're italians from NY and are used to the fact that we're never going to LOVE italian food from any other state but I wanted to try Tony's.

I don't think I should have ADRs for two different italian restaurants though. I'm so confused! :headache:

Based on the time of year you are going, I'd skip the Fantasmic package and eat where ever you want and then just head to the Fantasmic show 1 hour before and you will get better seats than the package seats.

The package seats are to the far right.

The package seats are no longer guaranteed after 30 minutes before the show and the waitress will tell you to get to the special package entrance by 45 minutes before the show.

I've done the package many times (end of August, Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec) and finally attempted seeing the show without the package at the end of August (got there 1 hour before) and also again at the end of October (got there 45 minutes before). Both times I had great seats right in the center. There is no line to wait in those times of the year but you do wait for the show to start in your chosen seats.

I've always been a big fan of the package and I'd do it again if I went at a very busy time of year but I think based on when you are going, I'd skip the package. Last year we got to try Sci-fi and 50's Prime time and still see Fantasmic in great seats.

Good luck deciding and have fun planning! :goodvibes
