I know this isn't the restaurant board - but I'm not sure it fits there either. I am figuring there are some DVC regulars who, like us, don't feel a need to do commando park touring anymore & have branched out to some other options.

I'd love to try Jellyrolls, but I've never been there & would like some reviews. Looking for a place for a little b-day celebrating!! :cool1:

It's an awesome place to have fun, hear music, enjoy laughter and have a few drinks!

Great place to relax and have a good time. I think the cover is $10. They serve no food other then baskets of popcorn. The entertainment is great. They do sets as pairs and take requests on napkins all night. All you need to do is send a little cash up with the request. The bigger the tip the quicker it gets played. It is not big so it does fill up pretty fast if you want a table.

There are plenty of videos on Youtube if you are interested in getting a feel for the entertainment.

Sounds perfect!

What time would you need to arrive to have a good chance for a table?

Jellyrolls opens at 7pm but the music doesn't start til 8pm. We usually arrive between 8 and 9pm after a nice meal at one of the Boardwalk restaurants. HTH!

Jellyrolls is a great place to celebrate a birthday! If you put a request saying it's someone's birthday, they will most likely drag them onstage to do a dance, and sing happy birthday to them.

If you want a table on the floor, you should definitely get there by 9:00 (especially on the weekends). It seems a lot of people come in after Illuminations ends.

The piano players are fantastic! I am always amazed by the songs that they know. I go there 10-20 nights a year, and I've only seen them stumped about 10 times. If you see Scotty and Ray, Tommy, or either of the Michaels, tell them Karen from Boston sent you :)

Jellyrolls is alot of fun. Go, you will enjoy yourself. I believe alot of CM's show up on Thursday which I believe is payday at WDW. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. That night things fill up even earlier, but they are a fun crowd! We have also been there on slow nights which can really diminish the fun. The piano players feed off of the audience energy so a fun crowd really helps the performance. If you sit up front be prepared to sing, dance, and laugh or the Piano players will mock you. It is not somewhere you go and expect to carry on a conversation. It is very much an audience participation event.

I had always heard at PI that Thursdays were CM appreciation (discount) night or something like that. I really don't know.

I love Jellyrolls. If you have never been to a dueling piano bar you just have to try it!!! Lots of fun and they take all kinds of song requests.

If it's still a smoking permitted establishment, I'd rather walk 100 ft to Atlantic Dance Hall and get in for free. How smokey is the place? My wife and I both have severe smoke allergies.

Sounds like great fun - we're definitely going to make time for this early in our trip......and maybe a second visit if I can persuade dh!!

The PP has a good question though - how smokey is this place? It isn't allowed around here, so I haven't been to anyplace smokey in years.

is the cover charge cash only or can you pay with CC?

Love Jellyrolls. It was so fun. They play just about every song you can think of. Can't wait to get back there in Sept.

It has been reported that JR is now non smoking. Thank God, because when it was smoking it got VERY thick.

The place is okay, once in a while. If you visit too often you tend to hear the same songs over, and over, and over, and....

Also keep in mind this is not a Disney establishment.

DW says that the last two times we have been there it was non smoking. I agree the place could get very smoky at times.

They have been smoke free for over 2 years now. SOOOOOO much better without the smoke :cool1:

Yay!!! That is great news!!

Can't wait to try this place out. I still regret never making it to the Adventurer's Club....just never made the time when the girls were too young.

Thanks everyone!!!
