Can someone tell me about Islands Character dinner?

I made ressies for the character dinner at Islands Dining at the RPR hoping to have comic book characters to dine with, however, I thought I heard that the characters are more like Popeye and woody woodpecker, etc. Any chance we'll see Spidey and the like? Also, I saw on a site that they offer an exclusive $3.99 kids buffet. Anyone know if this price is correct!?? I'm amazed seeing that the reg dinners are outrageously priced! And last question, what is included in the kid's buffet? I'm assuming things like hot dogs, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, fries.....thanks!!

It's at RPR. Adults are around $21 and kids $4. I've never eaten the buffet, though.

i took my kids to the children's buffet and character dinner at RPR last August and they and I were disappointed. The characters barely got around and the kids' food was barely edible - pizza cardboard, gloppy mac and cheese, hockey puck chicken tenders. I ate off the regular menu (before the adult buffet was offered). My food was ok at best. This past trip in April, I went to Tchoup Chop. Awesome. Fantastic. Cant wait to go back. but no characters. Cant have it all.

My son and I went on April 8th. The characters were Woody Woodpecker and Curious George. We didn't order the buffet just the kids meals. Everything was great. There weren't many people there so we had the characters for awhile. My son was thrilled. There was a office party going on for some conventioneers nearby and Woody had a BALL with them!

No it's far from Chef Mickey's but it's also half the price.
