Can someone set me straight on National's Emerald Aisle

1) You join emerald aisle program (Mousesavers link)

2) Reserve say intermediate size car

3) Arrive at MCO, do you go directly to onsite National Lot bypassing National counter,

After this is where it gets a little fuzzy for me. Will there be a specifie ea lot and will each category of car be in a seperate line.

Do I simply pick an intermediate car and proceed to the gate and present my ea card and license.

How does National charge your card for the rental. When you return or when you originally check out car.

Can someone clarify for me, I've been know to be a little thick skulled.

Yes. there will be separate row for EA, economy, full size, etc.

Yes. You also present your crdit card you used to reserve it with. Also, you may or may not need your card. Some people do not have the card. But keep the number handy. I also have a copy of my reservation just in case.

How does National charge your card for the rental. When you return or when you originally check out car.

I believe it is when you return they will actually charge your card.

You can pick any car parked in the row labeled "emerald aisle". They sometimes have cars larger than intermediate parked in this row. If you like one of those, you can take it and only pay for intermediate. There is an ongoing thread on this board about cars seen on the EA. They sometimes have full sizes, SUV's, PT Cruisers, vans (rare) in addition to intermediate.

They put a hold on your credit card when you pickup for the rental amount but don't actually charge it until you return.
