Can someone say product placement new test track cars

Here a look at the new test track and rumor of refurb the ride to add new scenes.

So now instead of a in ride photo you get a in ride car dealer to try to sell you a new car. I wonder if they will still break down like a chevy or will they fix that not to give chevy a bad name.

I know thanks but I think they are know going to rebranded the whole ride to focus on chevy instead of the whole brand. Theirs rumor they will close in January for lengthy refurb to change the show scenes. I like the new cars I think it makes it like cooler may be they going to get away from the test car ride and change it to the whole ride to show what it can do. They are testing these car so they may not be their when you go so you might still ride the old cars.

Kind of odd that they would do that. Perhaps there will be cars of all GM brands, not just Chevy. That would make a whole lot more sense.

yea but their rumors or thoughts that gm wants to rebrand the ride as chevy so may be instead of it saying gm sponsored it say chevy. But we will see when they get all the new cars now their just testing some and with the refurb that might take place in jan will have to see the new show scenes they will add.

I could see it since GM has retired many of their US Car brands in the past several years. When Test Track first opened, you had Olds, Pontiac, Buick, Chevy, Saturn, and Caddy. since then Olds, Pontiac and Saturn have been retired.

Buick and Caddy are both more Upscale car brands, While Chevy is the primary "everyman" brand still out there.

Add in the fact that the black eye GM got as part of the financial collapse, and it would make some sense that rather than focus on the corporate parent of several brands, they would focus on a single brand.

(From an accounting PoV, it also may make it easier for them to tally the sponsorship costs as an advertising expense for a single brand vs. for the entire GM corporation....)



I'd be surprised however if we didn't still see Buicks, GMC Trucks, and Caddy's in the post show area even if the primary ride focused on the Chevy brand.

As long as they don't theme it in Cars (movie) i'll be happy.
