Can someone please help me understand how to make 2 contracts work?

Love both AKV & VWL & really want the 11 mo. booking option for both. Ok, so lets say I have 100 pts. at AKV, can I then add on through Disney for say 50 pts. at VWL & get the same UY? Assuming the answer might be yes, are the pts. then all combined because they have the same UY or is it still considered 2 different contracts? For example, if I want to stay at VWL at Christmas (along with everyone else ) & I need 125 pts. can I take the 100 pts. from my AKV contract & use it at the 11 month window at VWL or do I need to wait until 7 mos.? . I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around how this works. Please help a confused person! :

Ok, let me try. I am sure there are more experienced and knowledgable people out there since we haven't even closed on our first contract yet.

Yes you can own at 2 different resorts with the same UY. Each contract maintains it's own priority -11 mths at AKV and 11 mths at VWL. You cannot combine the points for a reservation until the 7 month window at either resort. You can, however, bank or borrow that resorts points for your ressie at the 11 month window. So, if you have 50 pts at VWL, you can use your banked, current and borrowed points totalling 150 to book your reservation at VWL at the 11 month mark.

Your points only have an 11-month windows at the resort you are attached to. In your expample, you can only use your 50 VWL-points at the VWL until the 7 month mark. At the 7 month mark, you can use all 150 points at any resort.

By definition, add-ons will have the same Use Year. It will be a different "contract" - with it's own unique number as a suffix (.001, .002, etc.). The points may be combined to make a reservation at 7 months, but at 11 months are available only at the specific resort where they were purchased.

They will be treated as unique contracts for resale purposes and to make Home Resort reservations at 11 months, but otherwise are the same contract.
