Can someone please explain what Target Cartwheel is and how to use it?

Question: When my app says a coupon has "1 day left" does that mean it expires today or tomorrow? Thanks!

"One day left" means it expires tomorrow. If you tap the tile and enlarge the icon, it will give you the day it expires. I just checked mine and I have one that says "one day left" and it expires 11/2/13.

I used it the other day and saved .70. Not big but it was my first time. I should have looked at it before I left because it was a little overwhelming to do while shopping, trying to search for everything!

What are the badges? Are they anything?

When you earn certain badges, you get more available deals. Like, when I first signed up, I could have 10 or 12 at a time. Now, I can have about 18. As my FB friends joined, I've earned "badges" and gotten more deals, and as I've used it and saved more and more, I've earned more spots, also.

Yes, you can combine them all! Go to the cartwheel site, select the coupons that you want, then print them out. They print out in list form with a barcode on the top. The cashier just scans it once for all items. I believe you have to sign in through Facebook, and the more friends you have that use it, the more coupons you can get at a time.

I have a whopping 1 friend that is signed up. I'm hoping this catches on and more of my friends sign up.

So I spent a lot of time getting mine set up. I had coupons and the cartwheel app. I was supposed to save like $15, in the store when she scanned the app it just kept saying invalid customer. They even got a manager over to see and all they could tell me was sorry. I took a lot of stuff out of my cart and made them take it off the receipt since I wasn't going to pay a higher price without the cartwheel than I could get at Walmart. It was a very frustrating experience. I ended up saving $6 from only coupons.

Any idea what happened?

I had the same problem yesterday - well, actually, mine said it was empty or something like that. I ended up buying everything anyway as it was all on my list.

It's not easy to use.

How strange. I've had it since just after it came out and have never had a problem with them scanning the bar code on my phone and it recognizing me. I'd try it again with maybe one item (popcorn at the Target Café?) and if it didn't work, I'd delete the app and re-load it.

I might try that. It will be a while before I go out to Target again. Walmart is 10 min away and Target is 45. That doesn't seem like a super long way, but I don't want to waste the gas just to go out to try for one thing. I have another trip in to town in a few weeks.

I've used the Cartwheel lots and have never had any problems with it - other than the occasional cashier who seems a little bewildered about what to do with it. At least in my area, I don't think tons of people are using it yet.

It sounds like both of these issues happened yesterday? Maybe there were some technical issues going on?

Love the cartwheel app! If you've signed up for mobile coupons, you can stack those with cartwheel as well. Using a mobile coupon, cartwheel and my target debut card, I saved almost $15 on a $40 pair of boots!
