I agree that is what it should be however there are those (friends included) that aquire T not through any health provider and start taking it. There are not checks in place with them. I think that is where the idea of it being a fad comes into play.

But people who acquire testosterone illeagally aren't actually transitioning female to male are they?

Transitioning is not something that can be done without surgery. And I doubt any surgeon is going to condone black market hormones, let alone skipping the very important psycological therapies.

In there minds, yes, Or they are becoming comfortable in their skin which is neither male or female. Many FTM never have bottom surgery, as for the top , some plastic surgeons will just do it. The problem is with T is that the effects are irreversible, not like female hormones.

Many travel outside of the counrty to have things done.
