So, about 3 weeks ago, I called and booked our room room only reservation. I just couldnt take it anymore. I had to do something to get things moving along. I originally made a reservation at AoA for a Lion King Suite. I started rethinking a few days later about it. After talking with my hubs, we decided that since we are on vacation, I am not cooking. The kitchenette was just not needed. We decided to save a few hundred and switch to 2 joining Little Mermaid rooms instead. I called and changed it. I periodically log on and review the reservation to make sure everything is ok and when I did, I noticed one of our rooms was no longer on there. I called and the CM said that for some reason it had been cancelled. Didnt offer any explanation as to why. Said the deposit I paid for the Lion King suite initially was enough to cover both of the LM rooms so there was no problems there. It deleted my husband and 1 of my sons. So I was led to believe that everything was fixed.

I called again just now to ask if I could put in a request at check-in for a ground level room and yet again, one of the rooms (with my husband and son) were deleted.

So now, I have no idea what is going on. Does anyone know what it could be? Why it keeps deleting one of the rooms from our reservation? I would hate to have to call and add our room every week until check in OR arrive for them to say, " sorry, we dont have any joining rooms available " and us be stuck.

You said that the original CM said that the deposit you put down was enough to cover the two rooms deposits....did they transfer the money over to the 2nd reservation??? (the one with your DH and son). If the money didn't get transferred over, then the reservation would cancel because the deposit is due within 10 days (I think 10 days). You should either 1) have them transfer the amt needed from the 1st ressie to cover the deposit on the second or 2) make a deposit on the 2nd reservation. Hope that helps!

And from one military mom to another...

That makes sense.. If they didn't split your deposit to each room, then one will cancel after 7 days. I don't know if they can split your deposit in to two. You will probably need to make another one night's deposit to keep the second room.

Aw, thanks for the ! I needed that today for sure.

That absolutely makes perfect sense! So much that I called and asked. She said that the deposit was being split up so couldnt offer any more answers as to what was going on. So I will just keep watch on it I guess. :rolleyes1 Just another reason to call and see what is going on with those 2013 rates. :thumbsup2

Did you get an email confirmation for each room showing that a deposit was put down on both? That's the only other thing I would make sure I have, just to be sure there is a deposit down on both. Good luck!
