Can someone lead me in the right direction on how to make a resort map?

I wanted to make a resort map similar to this that I can change.



I would like to add alcoves or remove alcoves doorways for handicap rooms.

And I would like to add similar symbols for a roll-in shower, handicap tub, connecting rooms.

I would like to add colors.

I have tried Googleing so many architectural web sites, but they are just too complicated for me.

I found one site that allows a template for a "T" shape like the Disney Pop Century buildings, but that is as far as I could go.

Any guidance or where to go for help would be greatly appreciated.

You can try using Paint (on a Windows computer - should come with your system) or downloading a free program such as Paint.net (for either the Mac or Windows). I use Paint all the time to crop images etc. and it looks like Paint.net works in a similar way. Google 'simple drawing programs' and you might find something else that works for you.
