Can someone help w/a code ?

We are wanting to go to Disney in Oct. 20-24th, how do I find out if there are any codes to use/who do I call? Sorry I'm new to this part, last year we let AAA do all the work. Would love any info. anyone can give me on this!!

To find out if there is a code attached to your name, you need to call disney reservations. You can simply ask them if there is a code attached to your name. If you are interested in a room only AAA discount, you can also get this by calling disney. They can give you the same room discount that you could get by going through AAA. However, if you want a package that includes the AAA room discount, then you need to go through AAA. They would need to book the package for you.

Last year there were some different discount codes for October stays that came out in August, including public codes (anyone could use)- so you might keep watching the DIS around that time this year just in case. There will be posts on here as soon as it opens!

BTW - I know codes are confusing but in case you don't know this: there are two kinds of codes - one is a personal code with a PIN number that only you can use (attached to your name/address). Some people report getting these by sending for the Disney trip planning DVD, registering at the Disney website, etc. The other codes are offered at various times of the year and include specials for Annual Passholders, Florida Residents, Disney VISA cardholders, and General Public (anyone can use). mousesavers has a list of the historical release dates and the names of these codes on their site going back to 2005.

There's also Dreams Unlimited (agency that advertises here on the DIS) - you can book with them and they will automatically check for any codes that come out that might apply to your res. (No, I don't work for them!)

Thanks so much for the great info. and for the link - I think I will hang tight and see what comes open. Right now we were quoted, $2300, for r/t airfare, 5 days/4 nights at the Pop, 5 day hopper w/water parks.
