Can someone help me change name?

I need to change my name on here since we have since added a new addition to our family. I can't figure out how to do that though. Can someone please tell me how? I hope everyone will still know who I am.

On another board I belong to you have to contact a moderator/admin to change your name. You could change your tagline to say formerly so and so for awhile.

If it's your user name you are trying to change there is not a way to do that unfortunately. When I first joined I didn't realize that I should use my real name and then asked if I could change it, I was told I couldn't so I had to create a new account. Good luck!

someone told me I needed to change my name because my guys weren't infants anymore..... They were already toddlers when I signed up... but that is the user name I use on most forums I belong too so I just stuck with it here.

That's right... you can't change it here.

On the mothering.com forums they allow username changes and there are certain conditions, but you have to pay a small fee. Maybe the DIS should do something like that...

I have used grlpwrd ("girl-powered") online since the late 90s. That was because we had only 3 daughters. Now we have 4 daughters and 1 son.

I have seen quite a few people here just keep their username and note their additional children in their signature or they have changed their username altogether.
