Can someone help a newbie??

We're new to this whole DVC thing, and I'm learning as I go.

We are members at OKW, with June as our use year.

Next year, we'd like to go on a DCL cruise, but add-on a few days at BCV beforehand.

Now, before I go on, I know that BCV will be nearly impossible to get for this time of year, but I'm going to do my very best. I also know that I need to book 7 months out for that resort.

I'd like our first check-in day to be 5/31, which obviously is not in our use year, and we will not have any points left from the previous year.

Could I borrow enough points for that one night, then the remaining two or three nights use my banked 2007 points? Or, will they make me pay cash for that first night?

I know this is a question that most of you probably know like the back of your hand, but any advice or pointers you could give would be appreciated!

As Spicycat has said you can borrow enough for that 1 night and then June 1 your new allottement of points will be available for the remaining part of your stay. Are you going to use points for DCL??

No, I'm not using points for DCL. I ran the numbers, and it's cheaper to pay cash for the cruise.

If you need to borrow from 2007 for that one night, you can do that, and the next night will be part of your 2007 use year, so that is the year those points will come from.
