Can someone explain this pricing?

Ok, so when I price out CBR with the current % off room offer, I get $1097 for the week. When I price tickets separately (7 day park hoppers) I get $947. Together, this equals $2044.

But if I try to add the tickets onto the hotel ressie, it says the total cost is $2108.

Am I doing something wrong? Why is it 60 more dollars to do it together?

I could be wrong, but I think technically that $1097 price is supposed to be for the room only. So most likely, they add a fee when you add tickets. If you aren't doing the dining plan, I think your best bet is to get the room separately and then use Undercover Tourist for the tickets.

Perhaps it is the tax on your tickets? On the ticket ordering page it states tax is not yet included. Make sure you are using the actual ticket price including taxes before you compare the two prices. To my knowledge, there is no "fee" as PP suggested.

Check for taxes on the tickets, and check to see if they add in trip insurance if you make it a package. If it is trip insurance, you should be able to decline it.

I'm thinking this is one for the Dinsey cast members to answer, and I don't believe for one second getting tickets else where will get you what you're looking for. :sad2: Your best bet is to get them through Disney, every day you add makes the cost of the days ticket cheaper. Just call the Disney number and ask why the difference in cost and if they will correct it if it still comes up the same way through them, if the cast member is not helpful or "Disney friendly," hang up and find another Cast member who will help you. Trust me, there are plenty who will be more than helpful. In the past I've always done an online price check before I called to talk with a person (which is always best when spending this much money-calling and online checking-lol), 1) so I knew exactly what kind of costs I was looking at and 2) so there were no mistakes made. It's always worked out. :goodvibes

It IS the sales tax on the tickets. I did some playing around with pricing and for 2 adults and 1 child for 7 day hopper passes it was $947 pretax. The tax on the tickets is $61.56. There is your price difference.:thumbsup2

:confused3

2 adults 1 child hoppers, smitch just said, is 1008.56 buying through Disney, once you look at your shopping cart and see the tax added.

Buying through undercovertourist, an authorized seller of tickets that has spectacular service, will result in tickets that cost 977.86, as far as I just checked right now.

The OP isn't going to get the 947 price at all, since that's not an accurate price. She'll have to up the amount she's thinking of. And going with UCT is cheaper than going through Disney, with those prices.

Buying tickets through Disney will not be cheaper than buying elsewhere, and the price per day decreasing is true no matter where you buy MYW tickets. So while in some cases, it is best to get them through Disney (e.g., discount offers that require the inclusion of tickets), that is definitely not always the case and it is not for the reasons you are suggesting regarding the price per day decreasing with multiple days.

As for calling to get the best answer from Disney, I'd give that 50-50 odds.
