Can someone explain the GAC to me?

Hi,
We are planning a trip to WDW in June, and our son who has Cystic Fibrosis is coming too. There are several considerations to this; he gets dehydrated easily in the hot/humid weather, needs to avoid germs as much as possible and can't go as long as other kids. What does having a GAC mean? Is this something I should look in to? I am assuming that I need a letter from his treating physician. Any information or advice you have for me would really be appreciated. I can hardly wait for this trip. The last time we were in the world was Feb. 2005. Thanks everybody!
