my DH and i absolutely love the adventurer's club.. we could (and have) spend the whole night in there.. my husband always describes it as an old timey gentlemens' club similar to a hunting club.. there is a club president, curator, butler, maid etc.. all these characters walk around and just perform little skits throughout the night.. there are different rooms these skits take place in, such as the mask room, or the library.. it is absolutely hilarious.. i personally love it.. there are also different things on the walls that come to life and talk to everyone.. such as the colonel, the big egyptian mask.. etc..
if you go at the beginning of the night the 11 and 13 yr old might find it interesting.. we went a couple of years ago with then two 11 yr olds.. and they enjoyed it.. however, as the night goes on, it takes on, shall we say.. a more adult environment.. for example.. one time there was only 1 chair available to sit and my husband sat down and i sat on his lap.. and the next thing i know the colonel came to life and is commenting on how my DH is working me like a puppet..
granted some kids would never pick up on the subtle things they say sometimes, but it can go down that road occasionally..
the comedy warehouse is really funny also.. again, the earlier in the night you go, the cleaner it stays.. we usually go to the first show at the comedy warehouse and then head over to the adventurer's club.. we were just there last weekend and the first show at the comedy warehouse was at 8:20..
