Whats with this cheerleading thing. Are there gobs of them all over the resorts and parks at this time of year? I keep hearing about them but I dont know what their deal is. Not that we would mind, my 5 year old is a cheerleader-in-waiting. We would probably seek them out at one point or another!

it is for the pop warner's national competition. they have them several times a year.

We saw a few groups of cheerleaders. They were well behaved as were all of the foreign tour groups. We sat beside a Brazilian group at " Beauty and The Beast" and they were very quiet. This was quite different than 3 years ago.

Ahh, the tour groups from past years. I can remember a few years back when they dominated the parks and would take over entire attractions. Everywhere you would turn, a loud obnoxious group would be chanting through the parks with thier leader holding a flag. Those of you who have been to WDW in the summer months a few years ago know what I mean. Disney must have cracked down. The past few years, I have seen tour groups in the parks, but they are much more behaved than in the past.

We made a trip to WDW in 1998 and these obnoxious tour groups were everywhere! I remember how they would all cut into a ride line...not 1 or 2 cutting in...the ENTIRE group would jump over ropes and cut in:rolleyes: They all wore matching shirts, so they were easy to identify. Actually, their out-of-control behavior also made them easy to identify:eek: It took us nearly 4 years to return to Disney after that trip. The tour groups weren't the only reason for that, but they sure didn't help. We've been to Disney 7 times since May 2002, and we haven't had the same experience with these tour groups at all in that timeframe. I also believe that Disney must have cracked down on them after so many complaints:D
