I can purchase about 12 dozen pens in the beginning of each school year...and yet...here we are in February...and I can't find any of them???

Yet, I found all the 1 cent book covers...and 8 bottles of glue.




And...how in the world do I type the cent symbol?

I tried the Alt key thing for the cent sign and it worked. I didn't realize it could be done. ¢

Look under the cushions in your couch, under the refrigerator, and in all your purses. I think I might fine pens from the last 10 years if I looked in those places.

No, I'm not laughing at you! I used ALT 0162 to get ¢ to show up. If the numeric keypad doesn't work on your laptop, try the numbers on the top row (they didn't work for me, though).

In Word, you can generate the cent symbol by holding CTRL and then pressing /c. You could cut and paste the symbol from Word into a post here. Or you could just use the word "cents".

I keep throwing them away but the multiply like rabbits. We must have some weird third dimension thing between our houses.

I moved the two couches..and found 8 pens And found my culprits. Because I also found 15 straws, 4 bottle caps, and 8 pipe cleaners. Along with every cat toy we own. The scary part....the couches WERE moved about 2 weeks ago.
I guess I'll be moving the entertainment center, the curio and bookcases later.

just wait-if you ever move from your current dwelling they will appear in droves. when we moved last year i started out with a shoe box that i started tossing all of the pens, pencils, erasers and other small school supplies into that i found while packing. well, by the time i had cleared out the kid's rooms i upgraded to a cardboard file box i found hundreds of items squirlled away in toy boxes, underware drawers under the bathroom sink very few in the actual drawer they were SUPPOSED to be store in

if you're in need of pencils in particular, hit the stores after a holiday and get those decorated ones that come in packs-walmart had one's with hearts on 75% clearance the other day, and they've got tons with easter themes they'll be sure to be clearing out next month. nothing encourages an adolescent boy to keep track of his school supplies like the threat of having to resort to using mom's supply of 'i love you' and easter bunny imprinted pastel pencils

no...there are NEVER pens in my car. I've looked...BUT I do have about 10 Home Depot safety knives
