Can pt renters purchase Dining Plan?

I saw that DVC members can purchase the Disney dining plan without purchasing tickets. Can someone who rents DVC points from a member also purchase the dining plan without purchasing tickets?

Renters can purchase the Disney Dining Plan but the sign-up for it must be made thru Member Services by the member who owns the points. Payment is at check-in, so the member is not involved in the actual monetary transaction. If the renter decides to cancel the DDP, this also must go thru the owner of the points and Member Services.

DVC members and their renters/guests who want the DP must have MS add it to their reservation before arrival. It cannot be added at check in. Changes/cancellations must also be done by MS. It must be purchased for everyone staying in the unit for all nights of the reservation. As already stated, no ticket purchase is required.

If you are a renter, keep in mind that MS is not open on the weekends or Holidays and except for Thursdays, closes at 5 p.m. Eastern. MS is usually open a few hours later on Thursdays.
