Staying at Bay Lake Tower next week. Want to go over to walk around the boardwalk area with my family one night and maybe go to dinner somewhere on the boardwalk.

My question is this. Can I park at the beach club and just show my membership card ? if I do not have a dining reservation as long as I do not park overnight there, will there be no parking charge?

thanks in advance for the help!

First, parking at a resort is for people having some business at that resort. If you are going to eat there you can park there.
Second, they only charge to park at a resort for those guests staying overnight on a cash reservation. Others visiting for the day do not pay to park there.

Parking at BC/BCV is monitored very stringently. Once we were having a cookout for Disboards friends, and even though they were staying at SSR, they were not allowed to park. They made it over after parking at Studios I believe.

If you have a dining reservation, you can park at Boardwalk. If you are just going to eat at a Quick Service, then you cannot. Sometimes Yacht Club is more lenient with parking, but you cannot count on it for any given day.

Boardwalk parking is really strict for resort guests and people with ADRs. In your case, I would walk across the street to MK and catch the Boardwalk bus.

We took a stab at BCV parking in April while staying at VGF. Wanted to go around the Boardwalk. It was a no go. Ended up at Epcot instead.

I will add my experience during Thanksgiving week was always a yes to park at BCV to eat at Beaches and Cream (the walkup so no ADR). Did it a couple times.

The technical rule is DVC members (and really any day guest) who wish to shop, dine or enjoy activities for the day at a Disney Resort hotel are not subject to the overnight self-parking fee. However as other posters stated they will be stricter during busy times (honestly the hotel that has said no has been CR when I’ve wanted to shop the concourse, but that’s usually been nights of Halloween and Christmas Parties, know that because they’ve told me it’s specifically why the lot was closed, so I just parked at MK). So it’s worth the shot in asking but if it doesn’t work I’d just park at HS and walk over. https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/faq/resort-reservations/parking/

So really your mileage will vary depending on busyness.

In my experience, there is no need to even try to park at BWV/BWI or BCV when Food & Wine is happening. Parking is strictly controlled at that time. My guess is that it will tighten up other times of the year once the new replacements for IllumiNations come on line.

Our intent was Beaches also and was not allowed in April.
