Can lock-offs be opened?

This may be a dumb question, but I'm renting points for a one bedroom at BWV in December. We hope to have my parents in a studio next door who are also renting pts. (We couldn't get a 2bdrm). So if we are next door to each other, will we be able to open the connecting doors just like connecting hotel rooms? Also, how often are those kinds of requests honored (to get connecting rooms)? We'll be there 1st week of Dec.

At BWV not all studios & 1 bedrooms are lockoffs, many are dedicated (no lockoff door). When I booked my 1 bedroom last year I put dedicated on my request list and MS said I my reservation was already setup as dedicated. Both times we stayed there we had dedicated 1 bedrooms, which meant no lockoff door. You may want to check how your reservations are setup, lockoff or dedicated. If they are both lockoff and they can put you next to each other, then you can open the doors.

You can ask but if there are no 2-bedrooms chances are you won't be able to get this set-up. If you could, that would mean there was a 2-bedroom available.

This is one instance when faxing the room controller might be a good idea.

Fax the room controller at BWV 2-3 days prior to your arrival date. Be sure to indicate both reservation numbers. Tell your story and make your request.
