Can JCPenney look up a credit card charge for a return without a receipt?

I know that Kohls and Target can look up a purchase from a credit card, and will issue accredit for a return without a receipt.

Does anyone know if JCPenney can do the same thing? D bought a bunch of dresses there and has decided that she does not like 2 of them. They have never been worn/still have tags on them, and I know which credit card I used to purchase them, but I cannot find the receipt.

Any advice?

Contact JCPenney, or go there and ask. If they need the actual receipt, contact your credit card company and find out if they can provide a copy to you.

Yep, I've done it before. It's a little more complicated than target because they can see all the purchases you made but if you know when you bought the dresses (just the month is great) then they can find it.

Don't worry, they can figure it out.
