okay, I am obviously going for a record here. We will be in Florida for 13 days, but my boys want to spend most of it at the Gulf! I can't believe the bums I have for children. I am insisting (I can do that, I'm the mom!) that we spend at least some time at Disney. This is their proposal......

3 days at Disney.........

Tuesday 1/2 day at Animal and 1/2 day at mgm
Wednesday full day at Epcot (my fav park!)
Thursday my DH and 16 yr old son will leave to golf (see I told you....bums!) and I will take my 7,9 and 13yr olds to Magic for the whole day.

Now before you roll on the floor holding your gut laughing, :rotfl2: remember this is the week before Easter!!!! I am banking on the fact that we have been to Disney 8 times now and pretty much know what we like. It's Tuesday I am worried about. I am planning on hitting Animal first so we can fast pass the sifari and ride everest first thing. Then hit bugs and a few others. I think we can skip the shows. Lion King was our fav, but saw a post saying it's gone now. My biggest problem will be mgm in the afternoon. The main things we will do there is the coaster, tower, starwars, Indiana and back lot. I also think there is a special effects ride we want to hit also then of course the lazer show. What do you think? Can we really get Mgm done in an afternoon? I joined TGM and am still on daily soaking up info, but advice from real people is needed here also.

What the heck do you do if you are a Disney fanatic and your family isn't??? Life is just so unfair sometimes!! LOL

Long live Mickey!! :cheer2:

If you are an early morning person I think you should have no problem. The kids could act as Runners if you trust them(for the FP>>>Just the oldest one) Then you and the younger kids should procced to the next ride. Eg. when you get to AK send the runner with the tickets to the Safari ride. Have that child call you with a cell phone...or just get what ever tickets are available. You proceed with younger children to Everest...waiting out front for the runner. Then usually the minute you are done that ride you procced to the Safari(if allowed on FP times ) ...if your window has opened up to get another FP send the runner to get another FP(to a show or KAli)...I am the runner...and I get tired but this worked really great for us last Easter.
Your runner must be good with a map!

But you will have a great trip... :sunny:

If you don't plan to do everything--just the highlights (i.e., Lion King), you should be fine!

Love the idea of a runner! Wish I could clone myself on solo trips! :)

We just returned from a trip and did just what your thinking about!!

At AK we arrived at opening got fp for everest, rode everest in the standby line then rode Primevil whirl, triceratops and dinasour. Our FP time was up for everest so we strolled around through africa and got a FP for the safari. Then we rode Everest using the FP and went to the Lion King (still going strong on 2/24 btw!) and finally rode our safari.

We left AK and since dd wasn't feeling well dd and dh hit the room and other dd and I went to MGM. Got to MGM about 3ish but it won't take you that long since we stopped at the room. We did RnRc, Star Tours and ate at prime time, saw muppets and great movie ride. Just missed the lights action show but my dd wasn't that interested, if we were motivated we could have made it. Saw a few street performers and got a snack in time to see the 7pm fantasmic. If there is an 8:30 show that day you will be fine.

Thank you sooo much for all your advice. I will have to be the runner. My 16 year old is too easily distracted by girls to get there and back in time!

I think the only problem we will have is getting on both tower and rockin at mgm with only the afternoon. I do not ride either so I can take my 7yr old to Indiana and muppets while the rest ride.

Now I am excited, I was a little nervous, but not now!!!

To what part of the gulf are you going? It might still be a little cold in the ocean and any pools that aren't heated might be chilly. Is your crowd counting on that? They probably don't care, but the pools at Disney will be nice and warm in April - maybe you could swing a few more days at the World!!

If there are 4 of you and only two want to ride rnrc and tot, you can get 2 fp for each using the 4 tickets!

Other thing you can do is see which one the FP window opens first and get a 2nf FP at the other once your window opens...but I love the 2+2 idea of that works for you

That is EXACTLY how we visit parks in busy times. I am the runner and beleive me, it saves alot of time. We have been able to visit practically all of WDW theme parks last summer because of this method. Sure was tired though but it really is much easier to walk fast in a crowd when you are by yourself.

My crowd is funny, believe me! My youngest will swim in anything! We live in Northwestern Pa, so not much is too cold for us. They actually swam last year when we went in February! All day!!
My two oldest are only there to "girl watch". They had such a good time seeing all the young, tan, firm (ugh!) girls last year, that is all they are talking about for this year!
My husband works 7days a week, 12 hours a day and doesn't want to do anything but sit on the beach and stare.
We will be at the Gulf in Sarasota. My folks have a condo there. They go to Disney with us also, just like me,they are die hards. :)

I have another question now. Is there anyway to get a list of fast pass rides for each park? I would love to know that for my planning. I pretty much remember what Magic's are, but not the other parks.

thanks

Festival of the Lion King at AK is still open. It is Tarzan Rocks that closed.

thanks! But why did Tarzan close? I liked that show too, but not nearly as much as Lion King. The problem with Lion king is it takes a bit to walk too.

but hey, that won't stop me! :)
