We are going to be in Orlando from Sept. 26 to Oct 7. We have most of our days planned between Disney and Universal but my daughter found the DC website and now wants to go. I am wondering if can I want until we are in Orlando to book a day there. I don't want to buy it and then have her decide she doesn't want to do it because she wants another day at one of the other parks. Thanks

The price goes up the longer you wait. The prices for the upcoming week are really high. I'm going sept 3 and it is $30 higher now. You could always end up with a sold out date but probably not over the time period you are looking at.

We booked when we were there last time (mid September 2012) about a week before we wanted them. We were just getting the non dolphin swim tickets, I don't know if the dolphin ones tend to sell out quicker? But we're planning to do the same time time again so we can keep an eye on the weather and pick a good day.

As the others have said, yes you can wait and book once you are in Orlando.

But...you risk:

(a) paying more (prices tend to increase...sometimes significantly...as availability decreases) and
(b) having the date you want be sold out
