Can I use RCI points for Hilton Head?

’Lost” 150 points in needing to cancel last Easter’s family trip and was forced to convert them to RCI, grrrrr.

I thought I read somewhere but cannot remember where, that I could use RCI for disney Hilton Head resort, but not for any resorts in Florida, neither disney nor non disney. Do I have that right?

You cannot use DVC to RCI for any Disney resort as I understand it. You could use the RCI for other resorts near HHI.

FWIW, I haven't seen DVC's Hilton Head property in RCI recently. (Last I saw it was years ago ....)
Of course, there are many other timeshare in that area and, yes, you should be able to book those using your DVC points through RCI.

We just got back!!! It was absolutely lovely - but there are lots (and lots and lots) of other places to stay. DVC HHI is on the Shelter Cove part of the island, and the Beach House is in Palmetto Dunes.

I know that you can (or at least as of a few years ago). One year we met a couple in the hot tub who weren't DVC members, they were RCI and had traded into the Disney HHI resort for the week.

DVC can not trade to RCI and then book DVC. A non-DVC RCI trade could book into a DVC property.

This is also how I understand it. You can't launder your DVC points to RCI to extend them for use in a DVC property.

As a previous poster pointed out, there are lots of other very nice resorts on HHI that you could trade into via RCI. Check their directory.

there's been no DVC HHI in RCI for at least 2+ years, so even if you could trade back in, there's nothing. As others said, there are many RCI HHI resorts. We like Waterside by Spinnaker. Hilton (HGVC) now has a resort there, but I don't know if they're putting deposits into RCI yet.
