We are in Kissimmee now and have to completely revamp this weeks plans due to DDs unexpected strep throat (I am thankful it is this since initially I thought it might be meninigitis due to sore/stiff neck!!). She is so ill I didn't feel I could even get her to a clinic today, but was able to have a dr. visit her at hotel. With the meds he has prescribed he feels she will be considerably better by Thursday. Heres hoping.

My ? : Can I use the Citywalk meal /movie passes for lunch instead of dinner? Hopefully she will be better by later this week and the shuttle from our hotel returns from universal at 4 pm and 8 pm. Thinking maybe I could take her for lunch instead of dinner since she might be able to handle a whole day at Citywalk.

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

thank goodness we are planning on visiting IOA/US theme parks NEXT week and not this week. I'm sure by next week she will be A+ again. I am so looking forward to surprising them with IOA/US! The kids will be so excited, and after being so ill this week, it will be even more speciall for DD next week I'm sure!!

When we used them last November, I don't remember anything saying it had to be "Dinner". The only stipulation was that it had to be off a particular menu.

Since they sell these at CityWalk, why don't you call them and ask them. They won't know/care whether you're using the coupons or not.

Good luck, and I hope your DD is better soon!

Does anyone remeber how "limited" the menu is. I bought one off of E-bay and figured between my wife and I, one of us will find something on the "limited menu". Probably going to either Latin Qut. or Margariteville.

We ate at Margaritaville and were very pleased with the options we had. I added up my meal (with beverage, tax, and tip), and it would have been over $20 alone (not counting the movie ticket that you also get).

If you'll go on the Universal site, it has the menus listed. Go to the page link below and on that page you'll see where to click for the menus.

I used them for lunch yesterday and it worked out fine.

Since DD was so ill (she is much better now, btw) we had to re-vamp plans and now will have leftover movie/meal passes from Citywalk guest services.

My ? Will I be able to use these in 2007?

If you trade your coupons in now, you should be able to use the passes you get now later on (just check the expiration date on the pass). I've read that the expiration date is years away, but I haven't gotten mine yet, so I can't say for sure.

Good luck (glad your DD is better)!

Thanks for the info. and concern. Sorry to be bringing up an older thread but we just got back tonight and am just able to post now. DD seemed better when I wrote the last post but then became lethargic again. Not too bad, but it did take her about 14 days total to get over the strep throat. We just knocked back on original plans and lazed around more.

I did trade in all of the movie/meal coupons and don't see an expiration date on them.

Has anyone used them in 2007 yet with any success ?

stahshee - they were in the 2006 Entertainment book, but already needed to be cashed in.

riugirl - if you do end up not going again in 2007, I'd love to have any of the passes back that you cashed if you're not going to use them since we'll be there in August. I don't know for sure if they'll be valid, but I'd be glad to try them out! Thanks!

We had so much fun in Citywalk that we will definately be back later this year. Citywalk had such a great overall vibe.

This is an ongoing promotion, so I can't imagine why they wouldn't be valid. When we were there in December, I asked if it would continue in 2007, and she said that they have this "all the time". I know that they've had it for the last few years at least (because we've seen it advertised when we were there, and actually used it in 2005).

I've got several that I'm looking forward to using in 2007. Like riugirl, we really like CityWalk. We've never been in any of the clubs, but we like the restaurants and the movie theater.
