Can I use an old ticket from 1987?

I have one day left on a 3 day pass from 1987. Can I still use it? I've read some posts about this and I think that I can. Would I just be able to use it at one park for one day? So I wouldn't be able to use it on a day that I want to park hop, is that right? Also, would I have to wait til the day that I go and than turn it in? How does it work exactly? And can I only use it at the MK? (only MK and Epcot were open in 1987)
Thanks

Like abaldacci, I don't see this as a "joke question".

If the fact is that you have an older WDW ticket with one-day's admission left on it, you certainly CAN use it for a day's admission to ANY of the 4 theme-parks (not just MK and Epcot).

When you get to WDW, take your old ticket to any Guest Relations window and trade it for a "new" single-day ticket. The new ticket will have a magnetic stripe on the back and will work in the ticket readers/finger-scanners.

:thumbsup2

BTW, if this WAS a joke, it was a bit too subtile for me. ;)

I thought I could use it, because I had seen other posts asking the same question. Thanks to those who took me seriously!

I did this with no problems , Do just as Robo said. have fun!!!!

That leftover day on the old ticket is good for a day's admission any time, but it is not recommended to use it for your fourth through tenth day in the parks and also buy a brand new Magic Your Way ticket that is one day shorter.

If the old ticket allowed hopping between MK and Epcot, the modern magnetic ticket you exchange it for will allow hopping among all four theme parks. If the old ticket did not allow hopping, the new ticket will allow admission to your choice of one of the four parks. You can exchange it "now" and (carefully hide it in your wallet to prevent accidental use and) save it for later.

If you are into collecting Disney souvenirs you might want to ask first if you can get back the old ticket and not do the exchange if they say "no".

I know that in 2003, DS used a 1987 pass with one day left. He just went thru the gate, not GS (it may be different now, with the finger scan thing). Anytime he used FP, the CM would just print out a FP for him. Just watch for the jokester CMs! One CM tried to tell him (with a straight face) that since FP didn't exist in 1987, he couldn't get one. Then when DS started to walk away, the CM let him know he was joking and got him a FP!

In December 2005, my mom used tix from 1986. She had to "upgrade" the child ticket to an adult admission and got to do so at 1986 prices. :thumbsup2

Before you DO that, please re-read the #8 post in this thread from
seashoreCM.

You don't want to waste too much of your "vintage ticket's" value.
