Can I upgrade Undercover Tourist tickets?

I currently have 3 day park to park tickets purchased from Undercover Tourist before the price increase. They were the buy 2, get one day free tickets and are hard tickets, not e-tickets. I am considering upgrading one of them to an annual pass in order to take advantage of the hotel discounts. However, we have never been to Universal before and I am afraid to book a hotel at the AP rate and then run into a problem upgrading one of my tickets to an AP.

I understand I will have to upgrade inside the parks at Guest Services and then show the AP later to the front desk at the hotel. But how can I be sure that my tickets are upgradeable before I check in? I'm just nervous about pulling the trigger and am wondering if it might not be best just to keep what I have. I am currently booked at Royal Pacific in a standard room. We could upgrade to Hard Rock or Portofino for the same money, after figuring in the extra cost of the AP. My dates are February 21-23 and then we are switching to an offsite hotel.

Thoughts?

There had been reports of the buy two days get one free being upgradable but the buy two days get two not being upgradable.

Call Universal and see if they can tell you.

I bought the buy 2 get a day free pass from UT for $225.88 on November 11, 2016 and I was able to upgrade to an annual pass on November 14, 2016. I believe that they took the 3 day park to park price and subtracted that from the AP pass price. It was $35 to get the Seasonal Pass.

I'm wondering this exact same thing only difference in my scenerio is March 27-28. Also looking at HRH.

If your ticket is the buy two, get one free, we have had many people report success in upgrading. If your ticket is the buy two, get two free, I don't believe we have had anyone report back about upgrading those.

It will cost you $10.60 to upgrade one of your tickets to seasonal pass. I did this during Thanksgiving week. I too bought before the price increase, but went after the increase, making the upgrade only $10!

i missed buying before price increase. what's best deal now for 2 day park to park? thanks.
