I currently have 3 day park to park tickets purchased from Undercover Tourist before the price increase. They were the buy 2, get one day free tickets and are hard tickets, not e-tickets. I am considering upgrading one of them to an annual pass in order to take advantage of the hotel discounts. However, we have never been to Universal before and I am afraid to book a hotel at the AP rate and then run into a problem upgrading one of my tickets to an AP.
I understand I will have to upgrade inside the parks at Guest Services and then show the AP later to the front desk at the hotel. But how can I be sure that my tickets are upgradeable before I check in? I'm just nervous about pulling the trigger and am wondering if it might not be best just to keep what I have. I am currently booked at Royal Pacific in a standard room. We could upgrade to Hard Rock or Portofino for the same money, after figuring in the extra cost of the AP. My dates are February 21-23 and then we are switching to an offsite hotel.
Thoughts?
