Can I upgrade GAD to 7 day passes and pay with gift cards?

I was just wondering if I can use Disney gift cards to pay when I upgrade my GAD vouchers for 7 day tix?
I'd like to but some gift cards now and set them aside until our trip in Nov.

Yes. But...

Make sure the gift cards are fairly high value. The upgrade will be about $208, including tax. The ticketing system allows only three methods of payment for each transaction. Each separate credit, debit, or Gift card is considered a separate method of payment. So, for example, two $100 gift cards plus the remainder by cash or other method would work, as it is only three payment methods. But using four $50 Gift cards plus something for the remaining $8 would not work as you are now using five payment methods and the system cannot handle this.

A way to get around this will work only if you are staying at a Disney owned and operated Resort. You can put the upgrades on your room key as the Resorts appy each separate Gift CArd to your account as a separate transaction, and there is no limit on the number of transactions.

thank you very much for that explanation! I guess since I am buying 4 tickets I will do 2 gift cards and the rest debit card or cash. Thank so much for the great info!

I'm so glad you asked this. I didn't realize you were limited like that so I guess that I'll just charge to the room.

I think what I'll do is get my giftcard from the Disney Store and just keep adding $ to it til I get enough on there to pay for our tix. I was just gonna buy them at Giant store but they only come in $50 ad $100 increments so I'd have too many per transaction!
