Can I upgrade a MYW ticket to AP?

I am looking at a package offer for a WDW trip in July (short, three days). Here's my question. I am already planning on going to WDW in October for 9 days and was gonna buy an annual pass. So, here's the question...If I buy the package that has 3 day park hopper tickets, when I get to the park can I upgrade my ticket to AP by paying the difference?

Yes you can. I just upgraded my DW's 4 day park hopper to an AP last week at the guest relations window at the MK. The only problem I had was that the CM at the window I went to was new and had to get help from another CM to do the upgrade.
