Wow...just a few days ago you posted how annoyed you are that parents who get upset at their kids who "meltdown" at the parks, now you're saying you want to tip some teenager in disney dollars to make some silly point. It seems like you have issues with a lot of things. Relax, it's your vacation.

Chill out.....This is so non important in the rhelm of things that actually matter. annoying Waitstaff will really annoy, the corporate higher ups, what a plan.

Disney Dollars can not be exchanged for real money. Their basically a gift certificate. Once you get or buy one your stuck.

I had a few left over when I took my niece in 1999. We had lunch at Columbia Harbor House right before we left, when I paid, I gave the cashier the extra ones I had left and he gave me cash.

If it makes you feel better, give them to the waiter.

We have had many CM waiters share great information about the parks and rides with us during meals. They know the coolest stuff. That must mean they spend time in the parks. I know that they get in free, but i am also sure they sometimes want to buy a meal or snack in the parks. I bet they would love the disney dollars. GREAT PLAN.

Mike - I know it's been a long winter in Buffalo but, c'mon - it's supposed to be planning, not plotting!

Disney Dollars are cool, relax. Tell you what, you send me any extra Disney Dollars you have left after your vacation and I'll send you US tender.

:D :) :D :)

Well when I get canadian change I put it in rolls of US coins so my bank won't know their getting canadian money. LOL Actually I save canadian money and spend it when I go to Canada.

First of all it's a sunny 71 degree day here in Buffalo. But, there is 2 feet of snow on the grown. HAHA

I might take you up on your offer. But I'd rather slip it in my tips so they will be inconvienced and have to go to guest service to exchange thier Disney Dollars. Or they could send them to you.

I can understand that it's the principal, but Mike you need to check the facts and what you wrote, that I've quoted above, is not a fact!!!

I don't think one person alone COULD really "hit Disney where it hurts" - enjoy your vacation

BTW if you're happy to save your Canadian money to spend in Canada then how is that any different to spending your Disney Dollars in Disney after all you say that you really enjoy your vacation time there, I'm confused

I don't want to get into bashing you, but I'm not sure what kind of replies you were expecting when you posted this:

I guess I want to tip my waitors with Disney Dollars just to aggravate them. You may have noticed when you rent a stroller you need to put an extra dollar in for a deposit, that you get back when you return the stroller.

If your main problem is with the stroller deposit, e-mail Disney and let them know how you feel.

Remember: You can exchange Disney Dollars for US currency, you're not stuck with it forever.

If your main concern is to do this just because, then go ahead. When you get back, write up a trip report and let us know if you aggravated any waiters by tipping with Disney Dollars. How will you know if you succeed in aggraving a waiter? Are you going to make sure they are around when you put the tip on the table and just go by their reaction? Or are you going to tell them, "I'm tipping with Disney Dollars," and see what they say?
I'm not trying to be funny, these are serious questions.:)

But, when they give you it back they give you a disney dollar. So I'd like to see how they would like it.

This is a joke and I'm LMAO. Who could possibly think seriously like this?????? Thanks for the laughs Mike.

I usually dont bother with these types of replies.....

Mike, you are upset about the stroller $$. Basically, at each park you can rent a decent stroller for a $1 for the day and at the end of the day WDW rewards you a $1 for bringing it back. So, even if you stay a week, that's only $7 in Disney bucks...That's not even the cost of a WDW breakfast.

Disney owes you something for renting a stroller? Should it be "free" or covered in the cost of ticket prices? How about those of us adult travellers...should disney give me a dollar because I dont use a stroller?

I give one US dollar for a deposit on a stroller. That same US dollar can be used through out entire country. I then bring my stroller back and recieve a Disney Dollar. A dollar that can only be used in WDW.

Just buy yourself some Disney Dollars and rent your stroller with them--that way you will get back what you paid as a deposit.

WDW, for all intents and purposes, views Disney Dollars as cash.

As someone who's cashed out Disney servers at night many times, I can tell you that it definitely doesn't matter if you give them Disney Dollars. All disney dollars are turned into the restaurant along with whatever credit card slips, coupons, and cash is owed. The server simply keeps their tips in good old US Currency.

It won't do anything to annoy the waitstaff, because it doesn't matter. They're still coming home with whatever tip you gave them.

My husband would feel the exact same way you do- he's so far on the "what's out to get me" scale that I'm just thankful he married this Pollyanna the cup is always full gal( half is filled with water half is filled with air- it's full!) :) But seriously, that did happen with us on a daily basis- we rented a stroller for 6 days- and because it did "bug" dh, I told him to simply say nicely, "Oh, no thank you I'd much prefer the dollar bills" and I can't say if he actually said it this nicely, but they did always give him a real dollar bill. But I admire your gumption to try and change something that you disagree with- maybe next time work on offering more fast passes during the busy seasons :)

Mike, you are a very small man, and very crazy. I am embarrased to be from the same town as you. I wouldn't expect very nice responses from anything that you write from now on. Shame on you. And with a name like "mike wazowski" people will remember you.

Mike are you really that naive to think that the server won't just give it the cashier at the restaurant and get money instead? No Mike, I worked at CRT, we have a GT (general teller=cashier). He/she handles all the money. The servers give him/her the money, including Disney $ and the GT gives them real money. Get a grip!

If your the kind of person that lives in Buffalo, I plan on moving to Rochester. I would'nt consider myself small, but average. 5'10, 155 pounds, hansome, semi-crazy. I'm sure when you go to WDW for a vacation nothing bothers you. Your Mr. Perfect, just stay away from me. Also expect very nice post from me in the furture. Don't forget my name.

I appreciate a person with some sense of logical thinking. No one get's the point. I give all U.S Money, I get back a Disney Dollar. Plain and Simple

I can see why you don't bother with these types of replies, because I have no idea what your talking about. A stroller cost more then a dollar a day. You pay around $6 a day for the stroller then pay a $1 for the deposit which you get back. Thats $42 a week. Which is the cost of breakfast.

Yes, Disney should give strollers away for free. I'm glad we agree. Disney should actually take $1 away from people like you, who don't use a stroller.
