Can I take scissors on board the ship? Dream?

I would like to take a pair of scissors with me on board the ship for several reasons. (to trip magnets on door if they needed to be trimmed to fit, to cut off childs bracelet if needed at the end of the day, etc)

Will I be allowed to take them on?

Yep!

Best in the checked luggage thou, but if you have to bring them aboard in your carry on then smaller scissors would be better than big ones!

My son took his whole backpack on our cruise so he could do homework. We didn't even think to take the scissors out of his pencil case so when they put his backpack( it was a carry on, we didn't check it) in the luggage scanning machine they stopped the machine so they could take a double look inside. I said, "oh no, I think my son may have left his school scissors in his backpack" and they said, "no, we're looking at his stapler. The scissors are fine" So yeah, the scissors were fine but the stapler was suspect

Yes, but they will take them from you if you get caught running with them...
