I want to get a refillable mug for my upcoming trip and would like to fill it each morning as I leave the hotel. Am I allowed to take it on the bus with me? :confused3 I have heard that there is no drinking or eating allowed. Anyone ever do this? Thanks! :wave2:

You can have drinks, but you can't drink from them, although the drivers usually never yell at you if you do take a drink. And I think they have to have a lid. So you can bring it.

Um, yeah. NOT to drink on the bus, but I got the commuter-style mug that more or less closes to reduce (but, um, apparently not entirely prevent  ) spills.

Just remember to keep track of it. 2 trips ago I lost our mug in Epcot. My DH was a bit beaved at me, but got over it. This trip we saw a mug laying out by the bus stop of AKL. Another mug that got left behind. My advice is too just use and leave at the resort. They are too expensive to lose.

We saw lots of people with their morning coffee in their mugs on the busses in the mornings.

Yes, you can bring it. I've sipped off of it before, but once was asked to wait. Until then, I hadn't even thought about it not being allowed.

Here's a hint, though : bring some of those 1-gallon zip loc bags (useful for many things on vacation anyway) in your backpack to stow the mug when you aren't using it. That way you can also stop and fill it up on your way back to the room. I know most times when getting back from the parks, if I had to go back to my room to get the mug it would remain empty, LOL.

Not to ire the people who will think this is wrong, but...I buy a mug each time I go, and I use it, but on the mornings when I need a little extra caffeine, I take a coffee in a styrofoam cup. I will ignore dirty looks (of which I have noticed none, ever) and fill my cup rather than haul my mug around in the parks, or rather than fill my mug, traipse back to my room and pour it in a cup and then go. I paid for my mug, which entitles me. :rolleyes1

Feel free to take your mug on the bus each morning with your java or other drink.

What I did each morning after I was in the park and the mug was empty - rinsed it, dried it, and dropped it in my backpack.

Worked like a charm :)

Just don't drink the tap water at the Poly, lol, my mom and I had our mugs with us when we had breakfast at Kona (we stayed at ASMo) and asked the server if they would fill it with water (thinking it was somehow filtered), and as soon as we got outside, just at the walkway to the monorail, we dumped the nasty tasting water in the little pond underneath. Yeeeeccch, just gives me chills thinking about how bad it tasted!
