Can I switch resorts?

We have the free dining plan, using the public offer which ended last week, booked for September 2012. We are at CSR, can we switch over to WL?

Hi there! Yes, you can switch to a different resort AS LONG AS they still have rooms available under the free dining promotion that you had originally booked under. Disney only sets aside X amount of rooms for each promotion, so while WL may have lots of unbooked rooms for your dates, you would need to a "free dining promo" room to still be available.

Just call WDW and let them know what you want to try and switch to. If they say that they can't (and yes there will be some CM's who will say that), then either call back and get another CM or ask for a supervisor to check for you. Good luck getting what you want!

I am going through this now too. I am at POFQ and was told only river view rooms were available. So I booked that. But I really want a cheaper view room. If they aren't available now, can one technically open up still?
