Okay, I am seriously am idiot with all these questions... but what is a fish hanger?

It's a cloth item with pockets that hangs from the fish outside your door on a Disney cruise. People stick things in the pockets using it like a mailbox.

We used walkie talkies in the parks and I think I will keep the set in the OL. Also, shower cap and my old portable DVD player so we can bring some DVDs to watch.

Is the promotion over for OL? Just when I was starting to think today we may take advantage of it, I don't see the banner ad?

I just checked and it was still active. You have to put "I heard about it on the Dis" then click re calculate-it will show the discount on membership fee. I don't know about the extra visit per year though.

I have a question.
I was checking out the lists and saw candles mentioned.

I thought I read somewhere, either here or in other boards maybe even in DVC literature, that they don't allow candles to be burned in the rooms/villas due to a fire hazard and that the next guests might be sensitive to the lingering smell-especially with the lock-off style studios.

I know my DD can't be in a room with them because they trigger her asthma. But the real hazard is that someone might leave one burning and endanger hundreds of others.

Has anyone else heard, seen or read this?

There's a LONG thread on that topic here somewhere. The deal was changed after the first day it was posted to an extra free visit for the first 3 years vs for life. Sounds like that one is still functioning.

Body glide on the feet and then a dusting of the powder over that. More powder directly in the socks. Works perfectly.

Awesome! Thanks so much, I am putting Body Glide on my shopping list. :thumbsup2

Ahhhh, thank you! I had no clue and have never been on a Disney cruise.... though someday.....

Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see eyeglass wipes, kitchen shears/scissors or a paring knife on any lists. We also have a spare testing meter, alcohol wipes and needles for DH, a diabetic.

The advantage of a Brita pitcher (vs faucet filter) is the water is already cold without ice. Disadvantage is the room it takes up in a studio fridge. Packing it is not too bad as you can pack stuff inside of it.

Bodyglide is the BEST!

Great thread

I signed up last week for OL. This gives me a ton of ideas.

If you empty your locker it makes a good laundry basket. On the OL site they had a pic of a little one using it to play in. It could be a low work area such as kids coloring on it. I don't know if anyone added soap for the dishwasher.

I have a small luxurious bath mat (those tile floors are so hard), suction razor holder, suction towel holder, suction caddy for shampoo/conditioner, pop up hamper, flashlight, night light, pool toys, scissors, mole skin, don't remember what else right now.
