Can I snoop in your Owner's Locker?

I have a twin size aero bed in its bag with a mattress cover and a set of Pooh sheets in my locker.

Thanks for the info.:thumbsup2
Does it take up a lot of the space?
I guess I could get DH to sit on it to mash it flat for repacking.
He'll like this since we won't be packing so much into our suitcases anymore.:rotfl:

I also just signed up recently. In addition to many of the things already mentioned, I plan to store:

electric fry pan (for studio stays or offsite condos that don't have nonstick fry pans)
extra wash cloths
kitchen dish cloths or handiwipes (the tiny sponge provided at OKW just doesn't do the job of wiping off counters, etc.)

I keep thinking of all the things I want to store and have probably filled my locker in my head about three times over the capacity!

Good morning!

One thing I did not see (may have missed it) in everyone's lockers were band-aids or something to cover blisters on feet. Each trip someone always needs something to cover a blister.

Wow! I didn't think I could justify the cost but now I think I may have to get a locker. Down pillows will be the first thing in :cloud9:

Guess I'll look into it. Though, mailing a box twice a year is cheap and no problem for me either....Hummm:rolleyes1

We have a whole first aid kit in ours thanks to my DH (I don't think we'll ever need most of the stuff in it.)

Better than bandaids for blisters is preventing blisters in the first place. I use "glide" on my feet combined with the foot powder the army uses (or did, a million years ago) and haven't had a blister since I started that routine in 2002.

I ordered my locker and am going in July. Thanks for all the good advice here. I bought a battery recharger that fits various size batteries, so I don't have to keep trying to find batteries there.

This is a good thread for me. I only recently signed up, so I haven't had my first locker visit yet. As I think of something I want to put in it, I write it down so I don't forget.

When packing, shoes are always the heaviest thing. I decided that I'm going to keep at least one pair of good walking sneakers and one pair of boat shoes in the locker. That way, I won't have to carry those back and forth. If I can plan it so that the only footwear I need to bring with me is the pair on my feet when I fly down, my bag will be so much lighter.

We have a lot of what most people have listed in ours as well. Good Lists guys, but we also added a small screwdriver kit ($1) from the dollar store, because sure shootin' someone buys a toy car or something they want to play with and it needs those darn little screwdrivers to get to it. It also helps for tightening glasses and sunglasses, etc. We also pick up those "glow" bracelets for the evenings and keep the rest there.

I just thought of something else I must put in my locker - perhaps the most important thing:

Diet Pepsi!!!!!!

I really like Diet Pepsi. I also really don't like Diet Coke. As I'm sure everyone reading this knows, Coke products are everywhere at WDW, but Pepsi products are nowhere to be found. If I had a car when I was at WDW, it would be a non-issue to just drive somewhere and get some Diet Pepsi. However, I usually don't have a car. So I want to keep a few big bottles of Diet Pepsi in my locker for my when Diet Pepsi withdrawal pains get too intense.

I was thinking of doing it also, the things that I would put in it:
George Forman Grill
Flat griddle (for making pancakes, french toast)
beach towels
my floats for the pool
lights for the balcony
That is the start of my list. These are things I bring down that the villas are lacking.

:confused3 What kind of lights would you need for the balcony? Do you mean candles and such so you can sit out there at night? :goodvibes

I usually wash those out first thing BEFORE putting clean clothes in it anyways and I would never put clean clothes AFTER having dirty clothes in it first.

That's because they were *other* people's dirty clothes, right? I mean, you don't use two separate hampers, one for clean and one for dirty, at home do you? :confused3
FWIW I do use the hamper in the one bedroom but only as a gathering tool for the dirty laundry. The clean clothes are folded or hung up right out of the dryer and put right back in the drawers or closets.

When you ship things down, do you just address it to yourself at the resort? What do they do with it if it arrives early - just hold it for you? Do these packages ever get lost or stolen?

Deb

I am curious about this too.

Could you tell me how this is done? I have never used body glide but am tempted to after reading your post. Do you put the glide on your feet and the powder in your shoes? Or do both go on your feet?

Thanks!

We just signed up with OL and are accumulating our supplies for our trip next month. I was planning on buying a Brita water pitcher as some folks have but I see that other folks use the faucet style filter, which had never occurred to me. Are there benefits or drawbacks on one versus the other? I am thinking of changing my purchase to a faucet filter since I am guessing it would take up less room in the locker than a pitcher.

Thanks for any insight!

Body glide on the feet and then a dusting of the powder over that. More powder directly in the socks. Works perfectly.

I hope it's okay that I am posting a list this size. I think I got all of the packed items mentioned so far.
