Can I Really Keep My Mouth Shut For The Next 6 Months? Update 6/4 Link to TR

Loving the pics of your kids at the Party. I wanted to take my DD to it but she is with her father this weekend. I suggested they take her, but they were to tiered to.:headache: I suggested it to the boys but they just gave me that "yea right mom.":rotfl2: Oh well, I'll just have to take them to the earth day thing and they can trade in their plastic bags for reusable bags.:woohoo:

I love how the CM thought of your son who stayed at home. I love CM's !!:yay:

Sorry you weren't able to take your DD, we missed out on the Tangled event so I really didn't want to miss this one. We're going to go over there on Earth Day also, another excuse to visit The Disney Store;)

So many comments to make...

First of all, if the CM knew you were missing a child, exactly how time (or better yet how much money):rotfl2: do you spend in this store? Seriously what a thoughtful CM! Emily is so pretty in her dress (we went through a boot stage with Boo...and it was not even raining...he wore them everywhere...including mass). I am going to have to pull out some of Ab in her dresses when she was little to share!

Thanks for the link to the penguin cupcakes. I showed them to Ab but she wanted to make the scones (after all it is more "English" and since they had never seen the movie they could not figure out how penguins fit into a story set in London).

TRON...hmmm, maybe a space theme or robots?! I can understand the disappointed kids over no movie night...what a great family bonding time this has become and we have only done a couple. We were walking down the Walmart clearance isle this afternoon and the boys kept finding things to use for movie nights...and I kept thinking this would make a great scavenger hunt gift on Christmas!

Yes, I think I do spend way too much time and money in the store, after our trip it'll calm down......maybe;) Alot of times I do go in there and come out not buying a thing, we do most of the events they hold and I love to talk Disney with the CMs.

I can see how the penguin thing would confuse someone if they hadn't seen the movie, lol. I think I'm going to make them for my kids because they now just expect cupcakes for every theme night! We have Peter Pan coming up in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to think of what to make for dessert, chocolate covered pretzel fairy wands are all I can think of.

Glad to hear that your kids are so into the theme nights too. My kids are the same way in Michael's and the Dollar Tree, they keep pointing out things we could use for different movies!

I have to admit, I am jealous that you get to frequent a Disney store. :lmao: Our nearest one is about 30-45 mins away and the few times I've been there, I was very unimpressed. :sad2:

A suggestion (a poor one, but one nonetheless) for cupcakes for Peter Pan is a teddy bear cupcake. When I think Peter Pan, the first image that comes to mind is Michael holding his teddy bear. Maybe even something revolving around Big Ben or Captain Hook's ship? :confused3 (Yes, I know, I'm no help. :rotfl2: This is why I leave these things up to you professionals. :thumbsup2)

I love the teddy bear idea, I'm going to have to look up and see if I can find a teddy bear cupcake recipe! I'm going to break out Sam's pirate Imaginext ship and accessories for decor, while we have plenty of Tinkerbell toys, we don't have much for Peter Pan. I may make this a Peter Pan/Tink night, we watch the movies early enough that we could fit 2 movies in!

Ok, so nobody's allowed to laugh or make fun of me because I totally know how silly this is but I made a countdown calendar for myself. I had swiped lots of Mickey head paint samples from Home Depot for this project when I was going to do the reveal to the kids early but now that we are going to completely surprise them I had no need for a calendar. But I love to countdown because I am a big Disney dork so right now this is hanging on the back door of my closet where noone but myself will see it!

I just put the numbers so just in case someone sees it they won't know what it's exactly for. I pulled off number 45 today! Yes we are 45 days out!:banana::banana:

I love your countdown calendar!!!!! It's wonderful and creative! Good for you for doing it!!!

Now ... go do mine! :lmao:

Alligator cupcakes...blue frosting for water. Dip a nuttybuddy cookie in green chocolate (chocolate discs for candy making)...two eyes of white chocolate chips, pupils with lots of black icing along with dots for nostrils!

Thank you! I got to take another number off today, is it sad how excited I get about that?:rotfl:

I like this idea too! It sounds pretty easy too! What is your next theme night going to be?

SSSSHHHH...don't tell anyone, but I would TOTALLY make myself a secret countdown calendar if my kids didn't know about our trip yet! ;)

Google Image "Alligator Cupcakes" and there are some other ideas too that might even be easier! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I have a countdown calendar at work...just numbers on the calendar that hangs on the wall...I forget what today's number was...sadly in the 250's...I love your secret calendar. My closet is the hiding place too...kids have not figured that out yet...the suitcases in there are always my hiding place...right now Easter Basket stuff.

I think Saturday will be Mulan night...Chinese Take Out and we found this great recipe for dessert fried wantons banana splits:banana: for Ab to make (of course she will make me do the frying).

Glad to know I'm not the only one! I love your countdown too, yours is MUCH nicer than mine though!

My closet is bulging at the seams right now! With Easter stuff, things for the kids goodie bags, clothes I've gotten everyone for the trip and theme night surprises I can barely walk in it! So many bags all over. Sam asked me today what was in my closet that is a surprise because I won't let them in it:lmao: I told you all that he is smart!

Alright so there are a couple of things that obviously I am addicted to.

1. Anything Disney, I will read anything, watch anything, buy anything (within reason;)) that has to do with Disney

2. DISboards (who here isn't:worship:)

3. Disney Movie Theme Nights (this is new since November for me but quickly has become a bit of an obsession:happytv:)

And one that I have just realized today is

I am totally addicted to the travel size section of Target.:rotfl: I go over to the bandaid section to look for moleskin for the trip and I happen upon the travel size stuff. Of course I walk over to see what they have, maybe I need a couple of things. I walk away some time later with $30 worth of crap:scared1: Sure it's stuff I probably would need but still. I come home and open my little LL Bean organizer to see what I have and realize it's full, I forgot I had stocked up on stuff a couple of months ago when DH and I went to Atlantic City. Never mind the bin of extras I had under the sink. Needless to say I have plenty of toiletries now for the trip. Anyone need any toothpaste or deordorant?:lmao:

So what is today? My computer hates me, I think ... so not sure what today is. :sad1:

I love checking the travel section at Target. I can't wait until I can go peruse it with intent to purchase. :rotfl2:

I'm right there with you girl, but instead of target I lingered for an hour at Walmart chosing things for our toiletrie bag. But thanks, now I need to go over and see what Target has to offer.:rolleyes1
