Can I Really Keep My Mouth Shut For The Next 6 Months? Update 6/4 Link to TR

Yes the "adult beverages" at Disney are certainly not cheap! It never fails between the food and drinks and souvenirs we always spend the most money in Epcot:scared1: We told my BIL and SIL who are going to WDW for the weekend in a couple of weeks to expect to spend alot more money than think they will, especially since my SIL is a MAJOR shopper, lol!

Oh I know - Epcot has some of the best shopping! :cloud9: The store that is on the left side of the ball, past innoventions, on your way to future world, (horrible description, haha ) is almost better than the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney! I always find unique stuff in there.

Also, in the heat, I use the A/C in the stores to cool me off. By the end of our trips, I usually have a mapped out plan of how to get from one side of the park to another. So I usually visit stores often...and find more and more things I want to buy as the trip goes on...;) :rotfl:

I pop in the stores to cool off too, especially since the last 2 trip have been in August and the heat was unbearable. And yes I often get in trouble with DH when I pop into those shops, lol. The WS is the worst though, when we went in 2008, China had a ton of Olympic stuff. DH is a big nerd about the Olympics, literally when they are on that is ALL we watch, so when he saw the Olympic merchandise he went a little nuts, we walked away from China several hundred dollars poorer, lol.

Today I am looking forward to seeing the characters!

I don't know what comes over me when I see the characters in the parks but I become a kid again! And it is only Disney characters because I am not like this at Six Flags or Kings Dominion, lol. But at Disney I become the crazy character hound and take on the mission to see as many as we can find! I have memorized the character lists of locations and times and just in case I forget I of course have the info in the travel binder ;). I think my obsession comes frm back when we went in 2008 it was so rainy every day that we only saw 20 characters :( I made up for it in 2009 when we saw over 60! :scared1:But as crazy as I am we will not wait in line more than 10-15 minutes to see anyone. That's my main reason to do alot of character meals, a great place to see them without the wait!

Thank you, after our first trip to WDW we realized that we had to dedicate 2 days to Epcot. Amazingly enough my kids actually loved the WS so we all like to spent lots of time there!

We are going to devote a whole day to WS too! I am hoping that my DS doesn't get bored so if you have tips on how to keep the kids interested that's great! I am thinking of doing the Kim possible missions and the Kidcot mask is there anything else? Like a treasure hunt or anything?

:mickeyjum:mickeyjum 23 Days Until Disney :mickeyjum:mickeyjum

Today I am looking forward to having a couple of refreshing drinks at the World Showcase, specifically a Grand Mariner slushee!

I am not a huge lush but we do have a couple of drinks that we must have get when in Epcot, one is the GM slushee, the other is a margarita in Mexico and I believe Lidian recommended a plum wine slushee in China that I'll have to add to the list :goodvibes, I may have to split those up in the course of 2 days if not DH may have to carry me out of there:rotfl:

I LOVE ***i- a Japanese plum wine it sounds just like yours without the slush! If it is then it's so good and easy to gulp down because you really don't taste the alcohol!

I am glad that your DS is alright! I have been learning from my own DS that most boys are very scary because they are so fearless! Good thing that he can keep playing baseball! And I'm very jealous that you get to leave soon!

I love meeting the characters too! What a great way to get excited in these last weeks.

Yay, you're almost to the teens! Before you know it, you'll be doing the single digit dance...probably around the time I come back from WDW. You'll be all :cheer2: and  and I'll be like :sad2: and :faint:!

Characters are so fun. I can't believe you saw 60 on one trip! I'm also impatient with the line. I feel a little silly sometimes, but oh well. My favorite is the Disney Visa thing in Epcot because we get a free photo from it! In DLR, you used to be able to choose any photo, which was awesome, but they've since changed it since people weren't getting the Visa pic, I think. So we won't go as much as we have in the past, but we'll still walk away with a pic with Mickey/Minnie/Goofy/Pluto (two or three of that gang), and usually a short wait...in A/C! :cool1:

Someday, we'll have to do a character breakfast. I think I was 7 the last time, and only time, I did one... And that was in DLR!

I left a few tips over on your TR but I totally forgot about the Kim Possible Missions, we will be doing a coupe of those definately!

Ok,now I really can't wait to get this plum wine slushee, I like sweet wines so I'm sure it will be a hit with me:thumbsup2

Raising 3 boys I have found that they are defiantely fearless, they think they can do anything! Unfortunately I have a little girl who follows their lead and thinks she's invinsible too!

I love meeting the characters too! What a great way to get excited in these last weeks.

I was going to be a little creative and make the kids their autograph books because we have 7 of the ones from the parks already but my MIL got the kids 3 more of the same ones for Christmas and I don't want to hurt her feelings so they are going to use those! I also have the character encyclopedia I was thinking of getting signed by each character but I don't want to hold the line up too much so I may end up skipping that.

I told my DH the other day that if we ever go on a adults only trip I will still totally get in line for autographs, he thinks I'm nuts:rotfl: My DN is bringing her book from when we went in 2002, she'll be 20 but she said she wants to get the autographs with the kids too! With the Disney Visa thing what kind of characters do they have in there?

Today I am looking forward to Wishes and Illuminations!

I am really excited to try out my new camera for the fireworks. In the past I have never been able to shoot anything great but this new camera has a whole fireworks setting so I am quite excited to see what I can get!

I love fireworks, always get a teary at Wishes.
Can't wait to see photos.

really enjoying your countdown!

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo tonight we had a Three Caballeros theme night! Since it was a school night we began the movie right after homework was done. Snacks for the movie were tortilla chips with salsa and queso dip and I got them a few different flavored sodas in the Mexican food aisle to try. Everyone sat down to watch the movie, DH and DS15 were not crazy about it but the younger ones enjoyed it:) After the movie the kids made tissue paper flowers and did some coloring pages. Dinner was chicken fajitas with onions and peppers, beef tacos, spanish rice, refried beans (for DH, yuck), baked beans (for everyone else, lol), sweet corn cake and for dessert we had red, white and green cupcakes to represent the Mexican flag. I was going to venture out a bit with dessert but Emily asked for cupcakes and I love my daughter:cloud9: so cupcakes it was! After dinner the kids played a few rounds of "Donde Esta Donald?" . They took turns hiding Donald around the house for each other. I was going to get a pinata for the night but at $20, I cheaped out :rotfl: We are supposed to be saving money for Disney remember? :lmao: So I promised the kids that we would make one this weekend!

I love that movie night, where did you get the plates? We are actually trying to do this movie this weekend! I love the cupcakes too! And how did you make the sweet corn bread?

Glad your enjoying the countdown :goodvibes I cry during Wishes too! In fact I cry just hearing the song, lol.

I'll even toss out my confession. I cry during Wishes. I even cried during Spectro last year.

Loved your Cinco de Mayo! I could almost smell the chicken fajitas! Mmmm! Now I'm hungry. :lmao:

Thanks for the compliment! I searched for fiesta style plates at several stores with no luck and ended up finding these at a yard sale last weekend, they were brand new! And even better only cost about a dollar for the 2 :thumbsup2 For dessert I was going to make either Mexican cookie rings or sopapillas but like I said Em requested our usual cupcakes, kinda plain looking but they were yummy! As for the sweet corn cake, I have a confession, it came from a mix ;) It's Chi Chi's brand and I got it in the aisle with the taco stuff. I can get you a good homemade recipe for it though it you'd like. My MIL makes it and I've made it before with her recipe. That stuff is sooooo good, I used to work at a Mexican restaurant years ago and would have to seriously control myself around it, lol.

Ok, if we are going to be confessing things...... I am a blubbering fool at just about everything in WDW :rotfl: I cry during Wishes, Illuminations, Fantasmic. I cry when I see the castle, when we meet Mickey and the princesses and sometimes other characters too ;) I cry when we ride Dumbo, when we watch both The Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast show. Let's not forget the Lion King show and Philharmagic, lol. Oh and when it's time to go, forget about it ! :lmao:

Ahhh! Why are we in confess-mode today? :lmao::rotfl2:

Now I have to add back to the list. :p

I do get misty when I see the castle for the first time during our stay. I cried during IllumiNations. I cried during Beauty & the Beast. I cried when I met Eeyore. I cried during FOTLK. I've never rode Dumbo before, but I know I'd cry then, too. I cry during every WDW commercial that I stop and rewind to watch. I cry when I pass under the WDW resort sign. I cry as I check-in to my resort.

Maybe I need a mood-stabilizer. :lmao::rotfl2: But I wouldn't change a thing. :cloud9:

I LOVE your movie theme nights, they are always so cute!! Glad to see you slipped in a margarita too :thumbsup2

Thanks so much! My margaritas (yes I had two;)) were very yummy!

:banana::banana: 20 Days Until Disney :banana::banana:

Wow I was so busy today that I almost forgot my countdown!

Hakuna Matata! Today I am looking forward to no worries!

With such a stressful, tiring week I am looking forward to getting down to WDW and forgetting all of my stresses and worries. Am I the only one that blocks everything out once I enter the world?

All the confessions are making me smile! It is good to know that others cry over the little things, too! Fireworks over the castle always get to me! I think my biggest tears are shed driving away the last day...back to reality!

Three Caballeros Night turned out great...I am almost too embarassed to show off my pictures...I tend not to get into the fancy table setting and let people fill their plates off the stove an counter! :rotfl:

I like the cupcakes! And it that is what your little ones like for a treat...even better...makes things simple.

As for the movie...I had to laugh at all the politicially incorrect things! The kids loved the movie, personally I thought it was long and pretty boring and pretty silly...I did not realize Donald loved chasing girls so much, bet that makes Daisy a little upset! :rotfl2:

Wow, less than 20 days...WAHOO that means summer vacation is coming up...
