25 Days Until Disney

Today I am looking forward to riding The Haunted Mansion!

It's one of the family's favorite rides and I am excited to see the new queue and the new ending!

Yesterday we had our Peter Pan theme day/night. I had to switch our dinner to lunch because of Christian's baseball game being switched around but it all worked out. Decor was mostly some Peter Pan toys and books of the kids along with a few printouts and Emily had fun placing some skull and crossbones cutouts on the walls all over the downstairs. The kids started off with watching the movie, movie snacks were popcorn and fairy wands (chocolate covered pretzel rods). I snuck out towards the end to get lunch ready which was french bread pirate ships and fruit kabob swords. After lunch the kids did some crafts, they painted treasure chests and colored swords. We then took a break and headed over to Christian's baseball game, I took along some Peter Pan coloring pages for them to do while there, they very nicely shared with a couple of other children at the park. We had dinner at the game (no PP theme, just McD's for the kids). After the game we came home, had crocodile cupcakes with cannonballs (chocolate ice cream balls covered in sprinkles or smashed oreo cookies) and we played the Peter Pan game I printed out from online.

Just 1 1/2 more theme nights before our big reveal! I say 1/2 because next week we are going to do a mini theme night with the Three Caballeros to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! I think I know what I'm going to do for the reveal, nothing very original but the kids will be surprised!

Don't laugh but I didn't realize that the napkins said Happy Birthday until Ben pointed it out!

24 Days Until Disney


Today I am looking forward to dinner at Ohanas

We've never eaten there for dinner so we are all excited to try it out. Considering that both Christian and Sam can eat their weight in wings and shrimp I think it will be a hit

I can't wait until your big reveal. I just think kids say the funniest things, especially when they're trying to make sense of whats going on. I have a feeling that you have something pretty special up your sleeve, so I guess if I have to wait...then I'll wait. But no one said anything about being paitent! It'll almost be a surprise to us as much as it is to them!

So, I forget, so you'll have to remind me. When will the big reveal be? Right before the trip? The night before? Oh man...what a great surprise to give a kid!!!

Today I am looking forward to having a couple of refreshing drinks at the World Showcase, specifically a Grand Mariner slushee!

I am not a huge lush but we do have a couple of drinks that we must have get when in Epcot, one is the GM slushee, the other is a margarita in Mexico and I believe Lidian recommended a plum wine slushee in China that I'll have to add to the list , I may have to split those up in the course of 2 days if not DH may have to carry me out of there

Yes the "adult beverages" at Disney are certainly not cheap! It never fails between the food and drinks and souvenirs we always spend the most money in Epcot We told my BIL and SIL who are going to WDW for the weekend in a couple of weeks to expect to spend alot more money than think they will, especially since my SIL is a MAJOR shopper, lol!
