So, my DS (who will be 3 next week) is officially in his big boy bed. and that means, no crib renting for our December trip - we are staying in a 1BR at OKW and I have 2 questions -

1. Can I put bed rails on the Sofa bed?

2. Do they have bed rails available at OKW or do I need to rent them elsewhere??

TIA

They have bed rails and you can use them on the sofa beds.

They will also give you a plastic shower curtain to protect the mattress in case of a "big boy" accident -- to help keep our condos smelling nice and our annual fees down.:earsboy:

Someone might correct me but I think those sofa beds at OKW are very low to the ground plus there is rug under them. The kitchen lights over the sink and stove can be turned down low making them an excellent night light.

Housekeeping will put one on your bed in the case of an accident. We found that out the hard way.

If you have the old-style sofa bed (not sure about the newer kind), you can also make a "crash landing pad" of the cushions you remove from the sofa when you fix up the bed. We do this on my son's side as he tends to roll. We kind of make a little barricade and if he would fall, he'd only go down a few inches onto the sofa cushions. :)

Have fun. My kids LOVE Old Key West!
