So can I trade universal dollars back into cash at guest services?thanks for clarifying. I used the dollars and not the actual gift cards at the hotel. so I just spoke to front desk at portofino and he said absolutely I can use them to pay hotel bill. So...we good! Free gas here I come !

And even if the policy changes, you can just go to guest services in the park and get cash and then pay. Either way, there is no problem.

i don't want to put my room cost on my cc this year.
the spouse will see it and i'll never hear the end of it..........
i don't want to buy travelers checks.
i'd rather have a gift card to use for when i check out of the hotel.

My husband doesn't have a clue how much disney cost when we went in may. He thought I got a great deal. He did think one grocery register receipt that said we had $6 a gallon off was wrong. I agreed...then happily went to fill up for free. A few times.

if i remember correctly from reading other threads, i thought you could buy the gift cards at sam's club.
it doesn't have to be bought in florida, but can be bought in any state.


if i have that wrong, damo will come along and beat me.
