Can I make Atlantis affordable?

I am having a HARD time getting my DH excited about this trip. I think a large portion of this has to do with the fact that he is not thrilled about cruising at ALL. Secondly, it doesn't include golf. So when I asked him to pick an excursion in Nassau, he said he will do anything I want to do. I know he would like to check out Atlantis because he would like to vacation there but what is the cheapest way to get access to the property? If we went to the Dig could we walk around the pool area to see? I priced the Comfort Suites. It would cost $250. I don't want to pay that not knowing what the weather is going to be like in December. It maybe too cool to take advantage of the pool and beach.

Yeah, just do the excursion where you just walk through the Dig- you can also walk around and look at the slides, just not use them.

The Atlantis also has a nice area with shops/restaurants/Ben & Jerry's you could walk around.
