Can I link MBs to passes before we stay onsite?

We're going to be in Orlando for 3 weeks in June, staying in a rental house for most of that time. However, we realized a few weeks ago that we have enough (expiring) DVC points to stay at AKL-Kidani for 2 nights at the end of the trip. The catch is that, while DH and I have APs, our kids will only have 10 day passes, and they will have used them up by the time we check into AKL. Will we be able to link their passes to their MBs so that they can use them while we're in the park? Or will they have to use the paper passes the whole time? (The MBs are pretty worthless to us if that's the case, as we won't let them come and go from the hotel room on their own or have charging privileges.)

1- Yes.

2- "Paper" passes are no longer valid at the gates.
If you have any, take them to Guest Relations and they
will convert them, free of charge, to new plastic RFID tickets.
