Can I leave 15 &16 year old alone for the day

I would, however, consider giving them more than $20.00 each for food. More like $30, in my opinion.
$30-$40, IMO. One meal can easily reach over $10, especially if they want drinks (tip: get a refillable mug. They're under $10 to start and under $1 to refill and are good for life). Add snacks to that factor and it's very easy to rack up $$.

When kids are on chaperoned school trips to amusement parks, usually there is a designated meeting place and the kids only meet up with the chaperones at that time. The kids take off on their own to do their own thing.

Most parents don't realize that when their kid's trips are chaperoned that does not mean that the chaperones are with them 24/7. So....if you have ever let your kids go on school trips, then they will be fine at the parks.:thumbsup2

I was a chap'rone for a group of 75 HS kids yesterday. We were together to hand out the tickets and next saw the group at 7pm to head for the bus.

These were kids ranging from 15 up .... they had the run of the park. Our rules were goups of 3 minimum, don't leave the property. Most had cell phones...each group carried their chap's #.

If there was a problem they were to go to anyone with a 'name tag' then ideally head to the main first aid station in either IOA or Uni. I didn't see ONE of the kids all day!

I've done this for several years. They are old enuf....we've never had a problem more serious than a kid needing a bandade from a trip and fall or a blister

Yesterday gave dd $40 for food, she came back with $15. Bottled water is running $2.75 now and yesterday was HOT.....figure that in, altho you can get ice water free at any concession stand too
